15- welcome home

The kits bounced happily through the snow as the group travled away from the old nest. It felt good to have earth under her paws instead of old wood and dust. Addertail sniffed the air and smiled "The scent is getting stronger. We should be there soon." Owlkit, with the big blue eyes she was named for, looked at her mother excitedly "Are we going to meet Sparkheart?!" Moonlight nodded "Yes. And the rest of earth clan!" Greykit jumped through a lump of snow "Im ready to be a warrior of earth clan!" Goldenkit followed his brother "Me too!" Firekit pushed her brother playfuly "We have to be apprentice's first!" Ravenkit padded next to Addertail "I wanna be a medicen cat!" Addertail chuckled "A noble part of clan life. Good choice young one." Moonlight purred happily "Just over this hill, you all can become what ever you desire!" The kits gasped and ran quickly ahead, Goldenkit trying to keep up with his littermates. Not long after Moonlight heard "Whats this?!" A familiar voice! She ran closer and there stood Onetail! "Onetail!" Moonlight sprang at her sister. "Great star clan! Moonlight!" Onetail nuzzled her affectionately "Your alive! I still have family left!" Moonlight looked at her "Did father?" Onetail bowed her head. We found his body at the old camp and buried him there. He wanted it to be his resting place." Moonlight nodded "He lives on though." The kits came bouncing up to her. "Mother! We found a sparrow!" Ravenkit was panting with a smile. "I tried to catch it!" Firekit puffed her chest proudly. "Mother?! These are the kits?!" Onetail's eyes widend. Addertail and moonlight smiled. "Greykit, Ravenkit, Owlkit, Firekit, and Goldenkit this is my sister, Onetail." The kits smiled and in unison yelled "New freind!" And proceeded to pounce on Onetail. "Moonlight! Their amazing!" Onetail laughed "Come! Earth clan will be so happy to see" she looked at the kits "And meet you all."
Cheers of the clan still rang fresh in Moonlight's ears that night. The entire clan held welcomed her and adderfang back and welcomed the kits into the clan. Featherpaw had grown into a fine warrior under Onetail, whod taken her place during her time missing. Her name was now Feathertail. Sparkheart cried in happiness upon seeing his mate and kits and hasnt left their sides since they arrived. He was sleeping with them in the nursery that night. Moonlight looked around the nursery. The hollowed oak was big enough to hold several queens and litters. A pale queen, Ivyleaf, lay in a corner a few paw steps away in a nest of moss and bentgrass, with her kits fawnkit and blackkit. She'd been happy to recive a den mate, and the kits were ecstatic to get new playmates. Patches of star light filtered through parts of the tree and made Moonlight's pelt glow as she gave a silent thanks to star clan. She was home.
