Liam's POV
I hear a shout coming from the living room, and it makes my heart jump. Emily's voice sounds frightened, so I don't bother to waste any time as I rush out into the living room.
"What's wrong?" My heart stops when I see the familiar two girls in Emily and I's living room.
Lia and Emily are both staring at each other, making me a little confused.
"What the fuck? How did you get in here?!" I shout, moving towards Emily. I gently grip her wrist, my other hand finding her back.
"You didn't expect me, did you?" Lia finally takes her eyes off Emily, looking up at me. Her heels click against the wooden floor, as she walks around the couch.
"No I didn't, so you should leave," I clench my jaw and try not to swear at her. I look over at Emily, and she seems kinda frightened. I give her a reassuring look, before turning back to Lia.
"I'm not going anywhere," Lia says, a smile on her face.
"What do you want?" Emily asks, surprising me. She's not the type to just blurt out in these kind of situations.
"I want," Lia started, mockingly tapping her finger on her chin. "You," She laughed, looking directly at me.
Emily's face drops, but not just because Lia said that. Her face fell, because just as Lia said that, she pulled a gun out of her petticoat.
"Lia," I started.
"Don't Lia me, Liam!" Lia shouts, her face twisting with anger. I make my hand find Emily's, and as soon as our hands clench together, Emily lets out a sigh, but it's more like a pleading sigh. I take in her touch, and take a huge gulp before I think of a quick plan.
Emily's POV
All I can think, is that this is the end.
I always thought my ending would be like in the movies. Where the couple gets married, and moves far far away. Then, it will say, the end. That's when the credits would roll, and everyone would say they had a happily ever after. Nothing is ever like that.
Liam's hand on mine feels so calming at this moment, and all I can see is tears rushing down Lia's face.
"Let go of her!" Lia's voice sounds quick and panicked. Her hand is shaking, as she lifts the gun to my head. The cold metal against my skin reminds me of my father, and how he killed himself. I will die just like my father, but I won't be the one who is pulling the trigger.
I can feel warm tears fill my eyes, as soon as Liam starts talking.
"Emily it's going to be okay," Liam's eyes are pleading, and only a few tears are visible. If he starts crying, I'm going to start crying.
At this point I can't really comprehend anything. All I know, is that I'm being harshly pulled away from Liam, are hands getting disconnected. I don't feel safe, as Lia grabs my arm, and drags me over near the door. The gun is still to my head, as Liam helplessly stands there. I can see his teary eyes searching the room, looking for something.
"Nothing is going to be okay!" Lia shouts, referring to what Liam previously said. "Nothing is ever okay," She's full on crying now, more than I am.
"Don't you love me, Liam?" Lia shouts, and since she's right next to me, it pierces my ear. Can't anyone hear this right now?
"Lia, you're a psychotic bitch!," Liam is actually crying now, and I think this is the first time I've seen him cry.
"No I'm not!" Lia shouts, angrily pressing the gun to my head, harder than before.
"Liam," I plead, tears falling from my eyes.
"Emily, I love you so much," Liam says, trying to come closer to me.
"I will pull this fucking trigger, don't underestimate me," Lia says, her hand gripping the gun tighter. She looks wild, from what I can see through my blurry eyes. Her hair is spread across her face, her lipstick smudged also.
Without any hesitation, she lifts the gun a little in the air, before bringing it back down against my skull. A loud thud is heard, as I stumble backward. I clench my forehead in my hands, letting out a groan of pain. I can feel liquid coming out, and that's when all hell breaks loose.
My eye vision is starting to weaken, but before I black out, I see my apartment door open. A familiar boy walks in, and two gun shots are heard.
That's when I loose it, and collapse to the floor, next to someone else.
-
My head is pounding, and my thigh really hurts. I'm not sure where I'm at, but I know it's not home.
When my eyes slowly lift open, I'm blinded by a white room. I'm in a hospital, that's where I'm at.
Memories start flooding back, and that's when I realize everything.
"Liam!" I scream, my eyes swelling up with tears. I look around, trying to get out of this bed, and as soon as my feet hit the ground, loud beeping comes from the monitor next to me. Not only that, but pain shoots through my left leg, causing me to wince in pain.
All in a moment, nurses come rushing in, telling me to get back in bed. I obey, so I don't have to get sedated.
"Where's Liam?" I ask, as they reposition my leg. "And what happened to my leg? I know what happened to my head, but-"
"You got shot," One of the nurses tells me, looking at me.
"Do you remember?" She asks, and I partly nod.
"I remember her slamming the gun to my head, but nothing after that," I say, and the nurse nods.
"That's normal, because she damaged your head before you got shot," She said, before leaving. As soon as all the nurses leave the room, Louis walks in.
"Louis?" I ask, very confused. He has a couple scars on his face, that I haven't seen before, but other than that he looks a little startled.
"It's Liam," He says, making my heart drop.
