one week later

Macey.

I watched as Calum lifted Casey onto the counter, tilting her head to look to her.

I woke up to her throwing up- and to say the least, she looks like shit.

"Macey, please go get Luke" he spoke towards me, making me run upstairs, into Luke's room where I gently woke him up.

"Macey's sick" I spoke simply, and he was up and running with me down the stairs.

I watched as Luke and Calum took her temperature, asked her questions, which of course- made her cry

She's pretty damn dramatic

"We're going to have to take her into the hospital" Luke spoke, and Calum didn't hesitate to pick her up bridal style.

"Can't we wait until the morning?" I questioned.

"Macey, her fever is 103, we have to go now" he spat towards me, Luke ran upstairs to tell Ash and Michael.

I went with them to the hospital- where she was immediately in an exam room.

"My chest hurts" she spoke, which made Luke immediately grab his stethoscope.

"I think we need a fucking chest x-ray" luke mumbled, and Calum didn't even have to speak to the nurse- she was already out of the room

"Does your bra have metal in it, Casey?" Calum asked her.

"No" she answered quietly, making them both nod.

I followed as Calum carried her to radiology.

I stood behind a wall with Luke as I watched Calum hold her hands above her head.

They got the pictures they wanted, printing them before we all went back to an exam room, Luke putting them into the light.

"Oh fuck" he spoke simply.

"It's fucking double sided pneumonia" luke spoke towards Calum.

"We're at the beginning" Calum spoke.

After she got a good three shots, Luke informed her that she would be on plenty of antibiotics and other forms of medicines.

Then they took her home.

She slept with Calum, and I was alone in the bed again.

I woke up the next morning- seeing no one else up yet.

Casey's medicines were on the kitchen counter- so I examined them, reading the labels.

I opened one of the tops, and as if God just wanted to punish me, the bottle slipped, falling straight into the sink- the pills going down the drain.

I had a pure moment of panic.

I heard someone coming down the steps so I simply tucked the bottle into my pocket, seeing Calum.

"Morning sweetie" he mumbled, grabbing the bottles.

"Morning" I spoke back simply.

"Is this all that Luke got?" Calum asked, counting the bottles in his hands.

"Yeah- I guess- that's all that was here when I woke up"

The lie burned

"Okay, I'll come cook breakfast in a minute, okay?" He smiled, making me nod.

As he ran back upstairs, I ran into our room- throwing the bottle into our bathroom trashcan- exhaling deeply.

She has four medicines- one going missing isn't going to hurt her.

It was painful to watch her at lunch.

She didn't even get up for breakfast- no matter who begged her.

Luke had managed to get her down for lunch, but she was purely miserable- still looking like hell.

Her cheeks were bright red- but the blanket around her shoulders told me she was told.

She took deep breathes- as if it was hard to take shallow ones.

After eating the amount Calum accepted- he let her go upstairs- Luke walking with her just to be sure.

"Poor kid" michael mumbled.

"It's hitting her fucking hard" Calum mumbled in response, his arm going around my shoulders.

"You're lucky you caught it early enough, you didn't have to hospitalize her" Ashton mumbled

Wait, is this that serious?

For a minute, I debated telling them about the pills- but I chickened out- knowing how mad they'd get in seconds.

"She's going to be fine in two days probably- those medicines are going to knock it out of her"
