The night was pretty perfect. I live for these moments of serenity. Plans changing as the moods changed. Going outside to my backyard and star gazing. Staying up until the sun rose high in the sky. Talking for hours, or complete silence that meant more than words possibly ever could.
Being there, side by side to one another, he receives a call early in the morning, from Mr. Elias (one of the top dogs of Top Stop Music). I guess he had to fly out to New York or something. I was upset that he had to leave but duty calls. That's his job, I understood that. He asked if I wanted to join him. I turned down his offer because I didn't want to make a huge commotion about it.
Walking toward the front door, "Are you sure you don't want to come with me?" he asks once more. "I'm positive. Now, get going. You have a super long trip." He sighs and says, "You're right. I'm sorry. I didn't think he was going to call me today. I'll see you later when I get back to Miami though, right?" "I'm hoping so." I say, while opening the door.
Now, he's outside, standing right in front of me. "I don't feel like going!" "Geoffrey, you must! It's part of your job. It must be important though if he called you on your day off." "I hate that you're right!" he said, still directly in front of me. "Go! Or you're never going to get there." I told him. "I'm going to miss you so much. Please, come with me?" he says, hugging me. "No." "Please?" "No." "Please, for all the kisses in the world?" I laughed, "As tempting as that sounds, no. I have to go see my friend and her mom today anyways." "Fine, you win! I'm leaving!" he said smiling, as he places a nice, gentle kiss on my cheek. "I'm seriously going to miss you though. See you." he said, walking toward his car. I laughed, "Bring back all the kisses in the world for me while you're out, okay?" I playfully shouted to him. He smiles so huge, that smile made my day. I watched him leave and almost cried of sadness. I decided to stop being such a whimp, got ready and headed to see KC & Debby.
