This Is It.

We arrived to his office. When we entered, the room was full of people listening to the demo. They started clapping. L.A introduced me to them all and made me tell them a bit about myself. I couldn't believe it. I was standing in a room full of my future team. One of the ladies in the room brought the contact to the table. Ah, there it was! This was it, here and now. It was as if a light from above was shining down on the contract. All we needed to perfect it was the choir in the background. You know? Like all of the movies. Here goes nothing. A new phase in my life. This was the moment of truth. I took a deep breath, started looking over it and started signing. Pictures were snapped by my official team of big timers. They made up Island Def Jam, they made it work.

Out of the blue, a person came running in through the door. "Heard the great news. Do you have a manager? Please, say you're not under anybody's management," he cried, getting closer to me. No. Freaking. Way. THE Scooter Braun, asking me, if I had a manager. This was totally my lucky day. "As far as I'm concerned, not yet." "Well, now you do! Although, it was all a bit backwards," he told me. "By the way, I'm Sco—" "Scooter Braun. Yes, I know who you are!" I say shocked, "I'm —" "Nicole Santiago. Yes, I know who you are as well," he laughs.  I could've fainted. "No freaking way! I cannot believe this." "You'd better believe it, honey!"

"Excuse us." Scooter told everyone, walking me outside. "Look, I don't have much time to talk right now. We'll exchange numbers and I'll get in contact. I'm running super late to meet up with Justin," he said, handing me his phone and vice versa.  "We'll be starting your album as soon as possible." "Great!" "Better than great! How long are you going to be in New York for?" "I'm not sure." "You live in Miami, right?" "Yes." "Okay, when you get back to Miami, call me. We'll talk about studio arrangements and you meeting up with Mama Jan or Justin to take a few lessons for those vocals." "Sounds good, Scooter." "See you later. I've got to run," he said, literally running off.

I began calling Geoffrey and I thought I was dreaming. Somebody please pinch me. "I know, I know! You're calling cause you're done. Don't worry I'm on my way for you. We'll talk in a bit," he said, sounding more excited than me. As soon as he pulled up, he got out, hugged me and said we were celebrating at his moms. Truthfully, I was scared and I told him too. What if his family doesn't like me? Aside from his older brother, who I've already met. He's a kind person. We've become close since he lives closer to us than Geoffrey's other siblings. I'm hoping they like me, too! When we pulled up at his moms place, I told him once more I was nervous. "You're kidding, right? You just signed with your dream record label and talked about making your first album with Scooter. This is what you're nervous about?" "This is different. This is your family. Of course I'm going to care about what they think more!" "Just calm down. They're going to love you, just like I do!" Wow, I hope he's right.

Thankfully, things went better than I thought they were going to go! I had a great time. His family is the best. Now, I see where Geoffrey gets his kind heart from. His mother. She's the nicest lady I've ever met, aside from Debby. Which reminds me I should visit her when we get back to Miami. His whole family reminded me of mine. They made me miss my family though. Oh well, that's a story I'd rather not get into.

We decided to spend the night in New York. Geoffrey showed me around the city. It was weird, people knowing me as Prince Royces' girlfriend. Technically, I'm not his girlfriend. He hasn't even asked me directly. Maybe in his mind we're together, but in mine, it's sad to say, we are friends.

Ah, home sweet home. The Miami sun is killer. I've missed it. I felt like going to the beach. One last time, for old time sake, before everything drastically changes. Well, it had already begun, I just never really noticed. The complicated relationship with Geo is the beginning. My point is, before people start knowing me for more than just being his girlfriend.

***A/N: Just a heads up in future chapters I'll probably start skipping time by months or so.. We'll see. I haven't quite figured it out yet. Thank u for the love. I hope you've been enjoying this as much as I have enjoyed coming up with new parts! :) ♥
