It was a clear, starry night in the city of Paris, France, the Effiel Tower shining brightly in the night. Meanwhile, a raccoon dressed in a simple black dress suit, a white, collared shirt, and black tie around his neck, was leaned up against a balcony railing, absentmindedly gazing out over the city. He let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his slicked back hair just to mess it up before grabbing his tie and pulling at it to loosen the annoying accessory while unbuttoning a few of the buttons on the top of his shirt as well. This raccoon, which was leaned against the balcony railing, was none other than Sly Cooper.
I never realized how tempting my urges to steal had gotten until I put up this little charade... Hmph... "Little"? Tch... Not so little now, I would say...
Click... Clack... Click... Clack...
"Hm?" Sly's ears perked up when the familiar sound of high heels was heard, steadily coming closer to the balcony he was stood on, until they finally stopped.
Sly then glanced back, only to see a black and white fox standing at the doorway. She was dressed in a skintight white dress that stopped a bit above her upper thighs, the front having an almost diamond shaped opening on the chest with the straps crossing in the front of her neck and between her shoulder blades in the back. This fox's long, black and white trimmed hair was also curled a bit and pulled into a high ponytail, along with a white clutch in her hands and matching strappy, silver zipper accent, high heeled sandals. This fox's name just so happened to be Rae Vixen, though it seemed pretty obvious that she had something on her mind as she closed the doors to the balcony, stepping forward.
"I assume you got bored with the gala as well?" Sly spoke up, breaking the silence between them as he turned to face the city again.
Rae clenched the clutch in her hands. "Drop the act, Sly..." She then said.
"Wha?" He perked up, turning to face Rae in confusion. "What are you talking about, Rae?"
"You can stop pretending you have amnesia, because I already know." Rae stated.
Sly tensed up for a moment, until he sighed, turning away from her to lean against the balcony yet again. "So, when did you finally catch on?"
"A few weeks after Kaine Island collapsed and we escaped with Nick and Carmelita."
"Why not say something sooner then?"
"Because I was hoping you would've fessed up to it, especially after all of my not-so-subtle hints I had been dropping left and right."
"...Well, you're not wrong. I did fake having amnesia." Sly stated after a moment.
Rae clenched onto her clutch again, tighter this time. "Why?" She asked.
"I wanted to see what it was like on the other side of the law for once. However, after a while, it became harder and harder to fight my urges for thieving. I then came to the conclusion that I should probably just end all of this, especially after what Carmelita and I did..."
"Ugh!?" Rae suddenly gasped. "Y-you... What...are you talking about?"
"After we escaped from Kaine Island, she wanted to treat me for my supposed "head trauma," to try and get my memory back, or whatever. Soon enough, after a few days, we got to talking, and, well, she may have gotten a little too into our talks."
Suddenly, it felt as if something deep inside of Rae had just snapped. In that moment, as hot tears burned in her eyes, she reached into her clutch. "You selfish, no good, heartless bastard!" She exclaimed.
Click!
"Wha--ugh!?" Sly turned, only for his eyes to widen when he saw Rae had pulled out a black pistol that was cocked and ready, and aimed right at him, but he could also see the tears in those angry sapphire eyes as she held that weapon up toward him.
