Ch.5 Sushi Anyone?

"So, care to explain why the prison decided to come crashing down, almost killing us both?" Rae asked, directing toward Yukina and herself.

Sly rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling nervously. "I may have stepped on a booby trap switch by accident."

The fox sighed, facepalming herself. "Wow... Just wow... Bentley was right, you really are nothing but an idiot!"

"Come on, it was an accident! Besides, we got Rioichi and Yukina, so what's the big deal?"

Rae opened her mouth to argue, but paused, only to close her mouth again and wave her hand, turning away from Sly. "I can't... I'm really not in the mood to argue with you right now... Just...get in the carriage before I drop kick you so hard, Rioichi will be able to feel it." She said, climbing into the Japanese style carriage with Rioichi and Yukina.

Sly didn't say anything as he climbed into the carriage as well, but had both of their ancestors sitting between the two as not to cause anymore conflict than there already was. How many times am I going to mess up...? Sly wondered to himself, his ears dropping a bit. I can't seem to do anything right...

Meanwhile, with Rae on the other end, she sighed, taking her hair down and removing the pins before running her hand through her thick locks. She then placed her chin against her palm, allowing her mind to wander to her own thoughts. Why does Sly have to be such an idiot? She wondered. Right now, all he's doing is screwing up. I know I shouldn't be so hard on him, but... Rae then clenched her fist, remembering what he did to her before they went into the prison. That jerk! The least he could've done is warn me before pulling something like that... He's just lucky I have my self control, otherwise I might've ended him right on the spot... Rae just sighed again, taking a quick glance over to Sly before averting it again. I'll have to forgive him at some point, I know, but that just isn't right now... Just what in the world am I going to do with him...?

~After Rae and I rescued Yukina and Rioichi, we returned to the hideout. Unfortunately, there wasn't much time for family reunions, because we needed to find out what was going on, and fast. Rioichi and Yukina had confirmed that the tiger Rae had tracked in the village was someone calling himself El Jefe. After a little digging, Bentley was able to uncover his Interpol file, and El Jefe had an impressive record. Over the years, he had taken over several small countries around the globe, usually for the highest bidder. He was a ruthless mercenary and military strategist of the highest order. In fact, he boasted that he could overthrow a country commanding only three blind mice armed with plastic spoons. According to his file, this guy had mysteriously vanished a while back just as the authorities were closing in. Well, we had found him and we needed to take him down. It looks like we were in for a tough battle, so we decided to start with Rioichi and Yukina's sushi shop~

After the briefing of the mission, Sly and Rae got ready to make their leave for the sushi shop. However, as they were getting ready, there was an awkward silence between them, as there usually seemed to be now.
