"Hey, y'all, imma head out and go take a look around, yeah?" Tennessee called.
"Just don't wander off too far in case we need you, Kid." Bentley called back to him.
"I gotcha, Bent's! I'll be back quicker than a jackrabbit in a high-speed race!" Tennessee joked before he exited the Safe House.
Once Tennessee left the Safe House to go have another look around the area, he abruptly paused when he managed to catch something off in the corner of his eye that had caught his attention. The raccoon perked up, pulling out his binocucom as he held it up to his eyes so he could get a better look at the situation. To his surprise, however, there seemed to be some sort of orange colored fox with midnight blue hair who was tied up and being held hostage by some of Toothpick's goons.
"Uh-oh! That don't look too good!" Tennessee said, quickly trying to contact Bentley as he held up his binocucom again.
"Is something wrong, Tennessee? Don't tell me you got lost on your own turf when it hasn't even been five minutes..." Bentley sighed.
"Now ain't the time for funnin' around! We got a situation here! That little lady way over yonder looks like she's in a jam!" Tennessee exasperated.
"Wait, hang on..." Bentley paused. "Tennessee, I need you to zoom in so I can get a better look."
"A'ight." Tennessee nodded as he began to zoom in on the situation, only for Bentley's eyes to suddenly widen.
"Sweet jumping jackrabbits! That's not just any lady, that's Carmelita! What is she doing here!?" Bentley exclaimed.
"Uh, you know her?" Asked Tennessee.
"I'm afraid so..." The turtle sighed. "Something is very wrong here, Tennessee, but all quantum physics aside, we, unfortunately, have to rescue her. Nobody can get there faster than you, especially with Georgia out of commission for the time being. I'll grab Sly and the others and meet you in the van, but hurry and get going!"
"On it, Bent's!" Tennessee nodded before disconnecting.
After stuffing the device away, Tennessee quickly got a move on, hastily dashing toward a nearby mining tunnel. Tennessee didn't worry about any of the guards on his way there, merely trying to avoid them as not to draw attention to himself so he could hurry and get to Caremlita. Once he had reached the mineshaft, however, Tennessee quickly slipped in through the partially opened shutter door, navigating his way to the other side. When he came out through the other shutter door, however, Tennessee watched as that slimeball, Toothpick was having one of his thugs shove the captive Caremlita into a wagon.
"Phew, I'm only too happy to get rid of this one!" Said Toothpick. "Yeesh, her tongue's sharp enough to cut leather!"
"Urgh! Stinking cowards! Afraid to untie me and fight like men!? I swear, when I get out of this--!" Carmelita bellowed.
"No sense frettin' about that little lady -- ohh, cry, cry little tears, yes." Toothpick mocked. "Just enjoy the ride!" He laughed, slamming the door to the wagon shut before it took off on a crash course to the nearby ravine.
Tennessee gasped, quickly taking off as he hopped onto a nearby railing, sliding along it to a closeby rock platform. "Imma comin', Miss Carmelita!" The raccoon called as he landed on the platform. "I need to blow that barrier away!" He said.
Tennessee drew in a breath to calm himself before whipping out his gun as he shot three targets, one after the other in less than a second, knocking down the barriers on the path. "Okay! You can stop anytime!" Carmelita called, panic evident in her voice.
