Jonah let out a heavy sigh. Sure, Octavia knew Preston really well, but it wasn't enough to convince him that Preston was into him. He should try to ask him about it, though. Maybe if he told Preston he was bi, the truth would come out. The mere thought of starting up the conversation made his stomach churn and beg him to stay silent. His heart was begging him to speak up, though.
Jonahmarais: Hey. You up?
Press_ten_preston: Yeah. What's up?
Jonahmarais: There's something I need to talk to you about...
Press_ten_preston: I'm here to listen :)
Jonahmarais: I'm bisexual
Press_ten_preston: Have you always known?
Jonahmarais: No. I only realized recently.
Press_ten_preston: I'm bi, too, but I've known since I was 13.
Press_ten_preston: Well, now you do! So, who's the lucky guy?
Jonahmarais: You *deleted* I'm not ready to talk about it
Press_ten_preston: I'm here when you do want to talk about it and if he doesn't like you the same way he's absolutely stupid. You're amazing.
Jonahmarais: So are you :)
Jonah set down his phone with a wide smile. He'd taken the first step toward getting his man. He still had to deal with coming out to his family, though. He had no idea how he was going to do it or how they were going to react. He was almost 100% sure they'd support him completely, but there was a small part of him that was terrified they'd reject him. He was rejecting the idea himself. not because he was against it, but because it went against what he thought he knew. he thought he knew everything about himself, then he develops a crush on a boy. He denied it from the moment they started hitting it off.
Jonah remembered having a conversation with Preston about memories from their childhoods and seeing Preston light up when he talked about his friends and family. There was a single thought that kept popping up when he looked at the wide smile; I want to kiss him. He fought the idea at first, blaming it on his lack of sleep. Then, as they started getting closer, the urge grew stronger. He could feel it make his heart stop everytime they made eye contact and he had to focus on keeping his eyes above Preston's nose. Soon, he couldn't deny it anymore. He was in love with this boy.

James proposed to Natalia a few months after Opal was born. He wanted to get her a beautiful ring with his own money, so he saved up a couple hundred dollars and bought her a rose gold ring with a small Opal stone instead of a diamond. He drove them up to the lake where they had their first date and proposed there after recreating that day. Of course, she said yes. He'd lost his hostile side when Opal was born and apologized profusely for how he acted, so Natalia had no hesitation in saying yes.
They had a small wedding a few months later at Jame's parent's farm. Octavia was Natalia's maid of honor, and Jane and Miley were her bridesmaids. James asked Preston and his two brothers, Ian and Kyle, to be his groomsmen, naming Kyle is Best Man. Ian pretended to be offended, but he understood why James had chosen the other brother. Kyle was the oldest and always stuck up for James in school and helped him with anything and everything he needed help with. Kyle was James' best friend. Ian's twins, Hayden and Paige, got to be the ring bearer and flower girl, though.
They moved into a new apartment in the following weeks, which gave them a place to put their wedding gifts. Octavia made them some matching jackets that said "Mr" and "Mrs" on the back, Preston got them a coffee maker, Jane got them a set of plates and silverware, Miley got them a cast iron skillet, Natalia's parents got them some towels and some pots and pans, Preston's family got them some coffee cups, regular glasses, hangers, and a camera, and the Why Don't We boys got them a gift card for 5,000 bucks to American Furniture Warehouse.
Two years later, they were thriving and happy. Natalia only had a few more classes to complete to get her license in cosmology and James was nearly finished with college. They took Opal to Uncle Preston when they went to work or class, so Preston was extremely close to her. He'd miss he fall the time when she was gone. It made him want to start a family. He just didn't know how. The one thing he did know was that he could only picture a future with Jonah. He just never saw it as an actual possibility.

A/N: I like focusing on other characters and giving you an update on them and their lives because their just as important to the story as Jack and Octavia. I'm planning on doing a little update on Jane and Zach soon. :)
