Smiley.miley315: My mans is here. :)
Comments have been disabledCowen had arrived at Miley's house early in the morning. His plane landed before the sun had even begun to rise, but he didn't want to disturb Miley, who was very keen on sleeping in. Instead, he checked into his hotel and went down the the gym for an hour or two. Cowen was very much a morning person and enjoyed waking up early and getting a jump start on the day. By the time he was showered and done up for his lady, the sun had risen and the time read 8:27 in the morning. Cowen decided this was a decent hour to wake up Miley, so he gave her a phone call.
"Hello," Miley answered from the other end. It sounded like she'd just woke up.
"Did you just wake up?"
"I woke up around 30 minutes ago. I just haven't had my coffee yet," Miley replied with a raspy laugh. "I was also going through my explore page until, like, 10 minutes ago."
Cowen laughed, although he was a bit bothered by her morning routine. He shook it off and agreed to change that in the next week. "Is it cool if I head over now?"
"How far away are you?"
"Maybe 30 minutes at most."
"Yeah. Call me when you get here!"
"Okay! I'll see you then."
"Bye, Cowen!"
"Bye, Smiley!"
Cowen hung up the phone and ordered an cab. He gave the cab driver Miley's address and enjoyed the ride to her small neighborhood.
In the meantime, Miley was rushing to get ready. She applied her makeup in 10 minutes, a very helpful skill to her, and got dressed in something cute. In the spare time, she cleaned up her messy room a bit and made it look presentable. Then, she did a quick swig of mouth wash because she planned on brushing her teeth fully after she drank her coffee and ate some food. So, she got her coffee and waited for Cowen.

Cowen arrived just as Miley sat down the her dinning room table and turned on the news. Miley enjoyed staying informed of the world around her and enjoyed gathering information to support her political beliefs and opinions. Her phone rang with Cowen's name across the screen. She picked up the phone with a shaky hand and immediately asked, "are you here?"
With that came a knock on the door. She hung up and ran to the door. She was met with the beautiful man she's been talking to online. She hugged him tightly and rambled on to him about her house and what he should expect in the future. Miley liked to make lose plans.
"I'm sure it'll all be great," Cowen interrupted while covering her mouth. Miley picked his hand and laughed. "Gross!" Cowen laughed to and wiped his hand on her shirt. Then, silence fell upon them.
"Would you like some coffee?"
"I'm more of a tea person," Cowen admitted.
"We have some tea packets in the cabinet. I could make you some if you'd like."
"No thank you. I'll just have some water."
"Okay," Miley chimed. She skipped to the kitchen and got him a glass of water.
"Oh, the news is on. Do you want to change it?"
"No. I was watching it," Miley replied with a confused expression.
"Oh! Interesting."
"What?"
"I'm not a huge fan of the news. Too much bull crap, you know?"
"No. Even if there is some unimportant stuff to get through, the news does report about some really important stuff. I usually search online for news, but watching it is always interesting."
"Is there even any real news anymore?"
"What does that mean?"
"All of it is basically opinion now."
"Not if you find a good source."
"Seems like a lot of work for a whole lot of nothing," Cowen shrugged. "But that's just my opinion. It's cool that you're into that kind of thing."
"Yeah. I'll just look up the news later. We can change it," Miley replied with a forced smile. "I've got Netflix."
"We can just turn off the TV and talk," Cowen suggested. Miley nodded and sat back down. She sipped on her scolding hot coffee and smiled at the boy before her. He sat down across from her and chugged half of his water.

After a few hours of talking, the couple realized that they didn't have much in common, which was disheartening to Miley. He was crazily different than she expected. When he left, they hugged and said their goodbyes easily. Cowen also wasn't a fan of lingering hugs. He thought they became awkward after a point in time. Miley thought they got better the longer they lasted. How could the universe had paired them together? Maybe they were ying and yang. Maybe they'd work together despite being polar opposites.
That night, Miley couldn't sleep. She was stuck on thinking about what their future would be like. They'd always be at odds. Cowen very much relied on science and reason. Miley very much relied on instinct. She knew he wouldn't take her on crazy adventures with no set plan like Daniel did. There would be no surprises with him like there were with Daniel. Why was she comparing him to Daniel? Daniel was terrible for her. He destroyed her. Cowen wouldn't hurt her like that. Cowen was safe. That was enough for Miley.
She didn't need spontaneity, adventure, art, etc. that Daniel provided. Cowen was opposite of Miley, but he was also opposite from Daniel. Miley promised to give him a chance. She had to stop wanting what Daniel provided because it ended with her high and dry. With that, she finally managed to take some deep breathes and fall asleep. She just needed to think it through.
