"I have to say something, Cowen. Daniel would never tell her to do that. That's not who he is," Miley yelled. She'd just seen the video that Miami posted about Daniel and it made her feel the fury of hell.
"He hurt you, too, Miley. Is it so far-fetched t-"
"He'd never try to bring me that far down, Cowen. I know you don't know him and I've only told you the bad things about him, b-"
"But I trust your judgment. If this is something you believe in, I support you," Cowen sighed with a smile.
"Thank you, baby. I love you," Miley chuckled as she kissed his forehead.
"I love you, too," he mumbled back.

"Hello! My name is Miley Billings and this is a live stream to defend, my ex-friend, Daniel Seavey. Recently, his ex-girlfriend has been slandering his name, and people are eating it up! Let me explain something, Daniel did hurt me. I always felt like I was an embarrassment to him and it sucked! He messed with me a lot, but he never tried to make me feel bad about myself. Daniel was a sweet boy with a kind heart until he met Miami. He was always the kindest boy I'd ever met. If anyone in that relationship had control over the other, it was Miami. For those who know Daniel, you know that! For those who don't, trust someone who knew him for years and still can't forgive him for hurting her. Miley ended the live stream and smiled at Cowen. "Thank you for trusting me."
"I can't get in the way of your kind heart. You did the right thing, baby," Cowen chimed.

Daniel couldn't believe that Miley defended him. Of all people, the girl he crushed was looking out for him. The boys had sent out some tweets and made some posts, but Miley made a video. Daniel hadn't made any claims because he was scared that no one would believe him. With Miley's video out, he felt brave enough to say something. So, he told his story in full and posted it to youtube. He thanked Miley in his video and asked her if they could talk things over. Miley unblocked his Instagram and talked to him there.
seaveydaniel: I'm really sorry for everything I did to you. Miami had this hold on me and let it happened because the universe decided we were meant to be. I completely dismissed everything you did for me... I completely ignored how what I was doing would make you feel. I was jealous of Cowen for a long time, I still am, but I never told Miami to say that awful stuff to you. I never told my fans to either.

Cowen was a bit gauded and protective at the start, but he and Daniel became close friends as they came to an understanding. It was awkward for everyone, but they were willing to get through that part. Within a few weeks, they were best friends. They had a group chat where they talked about anything and everything. They stayed up late sometimes to get loopy and talk about stupid things together. They had yet to hang out in person, but they were excited for the day they finally did.
