Teddy's POV
"You guys still don't believe me?" I asked the remaining members of my group.
"Vampires are from comic books. If everything from comic books were real id be riding Batman's bat mobile right now, Teddy." Gordie sighed, more annoyed than usual because of his fatigue.
"Fine, fine lets say if there really was vampires. How could you prove they were real?" Chris said, trying to be as understanding as he could.
"Fine, you guys may not believe me but T does, let's go to her house." I said, leading the way.
"But, but that's the haunted house.. with the mirror." Gordie said, a little shaken. This was a reference to the night T had her birthday party at her house and invited the entire year. Somehow, someone got ahold of two 6 packs of beer and got hammered. They spread rumors of people losing their virginities and ghost sightings in the house. She was grounded forever after this party, but it wasn't her fault, she wouldn't have knows that it would get that out of hand, she was in the seventh grade for god's sake.
"You will believe in ghosts, but not Vampires?" I asked him.
"Oh fine, I'll give your theory a chance. Maybe I'll write an interesting story about it one day." He said, finally accepting it.
"Maybe I'll read it too" Chris added
We walked the way to her house and saw two cars parked in her drive way, but neither were her Mothers. Her mom had a black Pontiac firebird. The thing was beautiful, it's the nicest thing they have.T once told me it was the family car, it is to be kept at tip top condition all the time. Anyways, back to the cars. There was a beat up Volkswagen bug and a Pinto
"Guys, her mom isn't home and there are two cars here that I don't recognize." I skeptically whispered.
"Hmm, then let's just peek in the window and see whose here." Chris stated, rubbing his eyes.
We nodded and walked toward the small sliver of light that lead into the house. There were three guys I didn't recognize and T. They were sitting in the living room. Two of them were dressed in camouflage and had a some gear strapped on to their vests and pant legs. They looked official and troubled. They kept on talking to each other in a hushed and serious tone. I do not want to get tangled up with them. How did T know them? She was so fun and they seemed so... not.
"Who are they?" Chris asked.
"I have no idea." I replied, staring
straight into the room.
"That one kinda looks like you, teds." Chris laughed as he pointed to the mean one wearing a bandana.
"I do not look like him at all, you shit head." I said, jokingly
"What is this plan, they keep talking about?" Gordie interrupted
"How do you know what they're saying?" I asked, pressing my ear into the glass.
"Lip reading is another thing that Denny showed me years ago. Here let me read what they're saying" He replied with a straight face.
We all went quiet as he started translating. He mentioned a plan and a "David". They talked about Ace too, and T. T looked really excited and the blonde guy kept on staring at her weird until he turned his head and also happened to be staring at us for a few seconds.
"Guys can be see us?" I asked.
"It's way too dark for anyone to see us" Gordie reassured me.
But things started to get weird. They were huddled up in a tight circle and one of the serious guys and the blond one ran upstairs urgently. The next thing I know, I hear yelling and I'm wet. They threw a net over us. It's sticky and smells like garlic. Shit, do they think we're the vampires?
