Gordie's POV

"HEY FUCK YOU, YOU DID NOT LAND ON FREE PARKING." T yelled.

"Yes I did." Sam teased.

"WHAT IS THIS GAME?" T angrily whispered.

We decided to play Monopoly on Teddy's bed to fill the time gap. We were still waiting for T's cousins came back.

I always thought that this board game was boring before but this, this is just funny. We've created pure chaos.

"It's your turn, Teddy." I laughed, reminding him of the game.

"Hand me the dice will ya?" Teddy asked, reaching out his hand. Once he got the dice he rolled and landed on a community chest. "You've won the town beauty contest, collect 300 from each player. Hell YEAH!"

"I just paid to get out of jail, I don't got anymore money. I'm out." I smiled.

"I'm rich." Sam commented while spreading out his money in front of him.

"Yeah, yeah we get it rich boy." T scoffed.

"Don't hate the player, hate the game." Sam mocked.

"You did not just say that, Sam." Teddy raised his eyebrows questioningly.

"Yep, that's three dollars in the douchebag jar." I added.

"You spend a week with people you barely know and they start calling you a d-bag, very classy." Sam joked.

"It's the least we could do!" T said sweetly.

We all had a good laugh and finished the game, with T as the winner and Sam sitting on the floor pouting like a dog.

"Take your free parking and shove it up your ass Sam because I won." T taunted him with all of her money.

"Yeah, whatever. I'll win next time." He scoffed. "I have other matters to tend to, like answering the phone."

"You guys are a bunch of babies." Teddy teased.

"Says you." I retorted.

"Hey, I'm a changed man." Teddy said in his own defense.

Sam walked away and we started to clean up the messy game. I handled the money, T handled the buildings, and Teddy folded the board.

"T!" Sam yelled while running into the room once again. "Take the phone. TAKE IT."

She grabbed the phone and started mumbling random words. "Are you guys okay? The treehouse? We'll be there."

"Guys the frogs in big trouble, we need to leave NOW." T yelled.

We all scrambled to get prepared with weapons and holy water.

"No, not you." Sam sternly stated. "You need to look after Teddy, he's not in condition yet. They may come over here so you'll need to protect him. Alright?."

"Okay." I shook.

They left by the time I got back into Teddy's room. I was secretly relived that I didn't have to go, I was terrified of Vampires. I don't think is be able to fight for my life. I'd probably freeze and then die. No I don't want to be there, not at all.

"This beats, I should be there. I should be helping." Teddy barked

"I know you want to Teds, I'm sorry." I apologized.

"Why does this always happen?" He blurted. "It looks like I'm a coward most of the time, I don't want to be that anymore. Remember the time when Ace threatened us? I ran, I ran like a freakin cheetah."

I thought about it for a a little and I realized he was right. This is a once in a life time thing, stories we could tell our grandchildren. I just need to suck it up and fight for us.

"Hey you know what? Get up right now. We're going." I chimed.

"What? How are we gonna do that when I'm like this?" He gestured at himself.

"Come on, try walking around until you get used to it. I'll help you." I suggested.

"Are you sure about this?" He grunted, lifting himself from the bed.

"Yeah you're Teddy, you can do frikin anything." I affirmed. "You dodge trains and killed leeches."

"Yeah, I can do this." He cheered as he got up. As soon as he was on his feet, he groaned but kept on going. "This is gonna be harder than i thought."

"Just keep going, man. Just keep going." I continued. "We don't have much time."

"I know, I know." He wailed. "But I think I'm getting the hang of it."

"Alright, just tell me when you're ready to go." I said, following him.

"Just give me a minute or two." He cringed.

After a few more attempts at jumping and punching, he was functioning normally. He hadn't actually left the bed since he arrived here, when he blacked out. It was amazing he could walk let alone talk. But this was Teddy, the superhuman.

"Let's go now." He smiled, walking down the stairs

I followed close behind and we walked outside. I remember that they said that the Vamps were hiding somewhere near the Treehouse, we could get there but neither of us could drive so we had to walk the whole way.

"Damn, why can't we drive yet?" Teddy whined.

"I didn't even know that Sam or T could drive." I said, genuinely surprised.

"This is going to be the longest night ever." He continued.

"Let's just hope we get there on time, man." I reminded him.

"Yeah, let's hurry up." He said, walking a little faster.
