When I wake up on a Monday morning,

It takes me a moment to realize,

That a new week of work is beginning

And I wish that I could just close my eyes.

I tell myself to just get through the day,

Last the never ending homework they give,

And force my eyes open until Friday

Because the cost of grades is expensive.

I’ll ignore the pangs of hunger inside,

And survive the eighty minute classes.

“Make time for my instruments,” I decide.

Having to do everything the fastest.

But while these thoughts are racing through my head.

I think, “Maybe I should just get out of bed.”
