The unconscious surface stretched the world around her in darkness. It was the state of vulnerability, where the surroundings wash away. Though she heard a beeping sound stir her conscious to awaken. The lids of her eyes crack open only to see a bright light hit her sights. As soon as she flinched closed from the stunning rays, the beeping sound grew louder. Her foggy mind was clearing up into a second of process. She remembered The Reynolds Dorm, Jefferson, the struggle for her dear life. It was all coming back to her. Her heart was thumping loud against her chest. Her body was telling her to move now.

"Angie! Get your lazy butt up!" She felt bodyweight clash down against hers. It was the vile push that got her eyes to open and a gasp to shout. As instinct went, she thrashed her feet harshly to whomever was on her as she struggled to sit up.

"OW!"

"ANGELICA STOP!"

Her pupils fell onto her two sisters and not on any kidnapping freaks. Peggy was climbing off of her, rubbing her ribs, while Eliza ran nearside Peggy with a protective hug. Both girls stared at her with an accusatory stare.

"What was that for?!" Peggy retorted.

The oldest sister was speechless. She saw her sisters, her hues were driven to the alarm clock of hers ringing out on the nightstand, she was beneath a mattress and to conclude, when she examined the room, she was in her own.

"Angelica?" Eliza approached closer. "Are you alright?"

"Her?!" Peggy began. "I'm the one who got kicked off the bed."

It took a second for Angie to process. She slowly reached over to her phone alarm clock and slid it to silence. The time read 7:31am. Her brows furrowed together.

"It looks like you even slept in your dress. Were you that tired last night?" Elizabeth sat down at the edge of her bedside with traces of concern.

"No..." Angie shook her head.

"I think you were." The youngest sister replied. "When we came back you were already asleep."

Angelica lifted herself off the bed. She checked her coat pockets, patting them by the patches. "Where is it?!"

"Where's what?" The two youngest said in unison.

"The gun- the...  I don't even have the pepper spray."

"Huh?" Peggy stared at her sister funny. She watched as Angelica pushed herself off her bed and run over to the closet. "I'm pretty sure you were dreaming!"

The woman in pink opened the closet and knelt down to check the chest. She unsnapped the locks and lifted the lid. The paintball gun was there in its compartment as was the spray. It appeared as though it was never touched. "What?" She swore to herself in confusion.

"Why are you looking through the emergency kit, daddy gave us?"

"No. No! I know what-" Her mind was working faster then her actions. She glanced to the door. "Thomas..."

"Thomas?" Eliza said in surprise.

"As in douchebag Jefferson?!" Peggy inquired.

Angelica stood up finally giving acknowledgment to her sisters. "He called me last night. He was in trouble! I was sure of it!" She jumped over the beds until she made it over to her own. She grabbed her phone and checked her call history. Thomas Jefferson wasn't on it. "What? Where is it?"

Eliza approached her sister with a tad of worry but a glimmer of sympathy. "It was probably a bad dream. Some wild imagination coming around from all the work you do! You deserve a break."
