Star Wars Fanfiction: Betrayed (2nd Book)

Chapter 5

The Falcon flew across he sky, to a death trap. Anna knew. Rey was getting ready to be sent to the first order. "If you see Finn before I do tell him-" Chewbacca let out a roar. "Perfect, when you send me out, get out of range." Her pod shot out of the ship. "Surprise Chewie! My turn." Anna said, trying to keep her promise to Finn to keep Rey safe. Chewie started to roar in protest, but Anna said," If I don't do something would Finn forgive me? No. Just do it, I'll be fine." She hopped down into a pod like Rey's. She was feeling a twinge of regret of leaving her father so soon. She had  a pit of guilt gnawing at her insides.But as she heard the capsule snap shut she knew she had made her choice.She felt the blast shake the ship as she was headed towards Snoke's ship.

When she landed she was greeted with handcuffs and storm troopers. She saw Rey being led away by Kylo. Without a mask. This shocked her, that mask was a tie to their grandfather. The one who was redeemed in the end."You're a coward! A inhumane monster!" He took a glance back at her but didn't say a word as she was lead away in the opposite direction. This wasn't how things were supposed to go, she had felt the uncertainty of it all. The connections, her father, everything.Her back was shoved hard in an effort to get her to walk faster,"Get your filthy,imperial,snobbish hands off of me, or trust me, you will regret it." She said angrily. They didn't touch her again.

As they walked to what would be her cell, she noted the surroundings of course, but most of all, the way back to Rey. They stopped at a door that could have been easily mistakes for the wall. A keycard was pressed, and it opened, leading to a white hallway with many doors. One led to laundry, a lounge area, etc.She was led to a low-security prison cell. It was next to laundry of all things. She stood in there, she had known that this is what would happen. She didn't know what she was waiting on. "Let me out of here!" She screamed as she griped the bars so tightly her knuckles were white.

No one was there to hear her screams. She paced back and forth. "Ok," she thought," Dad was right, gotta give him credit for that, but what is important now is getting out of here." There were no ways to pick the lock, no keys to force-levitate, and no lightsaber. They had taken it from her when she had landed. She had no clue what to do, the odds were not in her favor. None of her training had prepared her for this. Then suddenly she heard the disguised door open with a futuristic wirring noise. There was frantic, hurried whispering. Someone was trying to get into the laundry room. "Who's there? I swear if I see a storm trooper holding a laundry basket of grandma underwear, I will burst out laughing." She said, but her voice was stone cold.

"Anna?" The voice asked curiously. Then it suddenly struck Anna who the voice belonged to,"Rose?" When Anna had first come back from the planet she had trained on, Rose and Paige had been among the people that were her first friends. Including Poe and Jess. Rose, Finn, and someone else she didn't know ,came in front of her door. "How did you get here?" Rose asked," I thought you left to find your dad?"
"Well, it's a long story, but my dad was not the most welcoming, Rey and I left because we are trying to figure some stuff out about Kylo, and we got captured. I'm in here and Kylo took Rey, probably to Snoke. But can you get me out of-"
"Already on it, A" Rose started pulling at  the plate on the door that covered the wires. Once she had opened it, she inspected the wires, deciding which ones to use to get Anna out.

The guy with an unknown name told Rose,"You'll want the two black wires."
"Who's he?" Anna asked Finn. "A code breaker that we found in Canto Bight. He helped us get here, calls himself D.J." He responded as if he was suspicious of D.J. Within a few moments, the light on the door had turned from red to green. Signaling the unlock with a soft click." Thanks Rose, I owe you." She said thanking her loyal friend. "We're going to Chang into First Order uniforms," Finn said as she began to walk away," You might want one to blend in when you go to find Rey."

Anna turned around and watched as Rose and DJ worked to open the door to laundry. She walked back to the obvious band of misfits and rebels. She squinted her eyes at DJ, as if scanning him for any essence of treachery. Something about him was suspicious. Then BB-8 nudged her, beeping as fast as he could without frying his circuits. "Slow down buddy!" She said laughing," Wait, what about Poe?" He beeped more quickly now, even as she struggled to understand his frantic beeping, she got the gist.

" You left him in charge? It's no wonder the ship hasn't blown up yet...." The door to laundry opened as their conversation drifted to a close. They walked in, lucky no one was there. Anna dug through the baskets of clean laundry, finally finding a uniform in her size, a blue one, like Rose's. Once she changed, she looked in the mirror. She looked almost the exact same as when she had been on Starkiller base. Several irons fell off of the shelf next to her. She dodged them knowing it was her fault for becoming angry. "Woah, watch out there." DJ said. "No, that was me." Anna said, and when he continued to look puzzled she said," I'm force-sensitive, I made them fall on accident."
Rose and Finn appeared by DJ's side," I'll be going to find Rey then, I don't know where we will go but remember," She said tapping her wrist, indicating that she had one of the trackers," I'm a click away."
