Prologue

YN's Pov

My name is YN Nikos I'm the adopted older brother to Pyrrha Nikos. I sometimes wish I wasn't though. Why you ask it has nothing to do with her she was always nice to me and she never laid her hands on me unless it was to bandage my arms up or my head and legs up. My parents on the other hand would beat the crap out of me and leave me out side for hours each day especially during the winter.

Mom: Get up.

I stand up and as soon as I get up she says.

Mom: Go make breakfast.

I stare at her and then turn my back and as I'm heading down the stairs I get pushed and I fall down landing head first o the last step and I'm bleeding from my head.

Dad: Oh the little bastard is finally awake.

I get us and he punches me in the stomach making me cough up blood and falling to my knees he then grabs me by my hair and throws me into the kitchen and says.

Dad: Go get breakfast ready you piece of shit.

I stand up and head into the kitchen and started making food for them and soon Pyrrha walks in and she says.

Pyrrha: Hey big brother.

YN: Oh hey Pyrrha. Happy 12th birthday.

She gives me a hug and says.

Pyrrha: Thank you.

I kiss the top of her head and she sits down and waits for me to make breakfast but feels bad.

Pyrrha: YN do you need help?

YN: I appreciate the ask for help but if I do they'll hit me and tell me that you shouldn't do this it should just be me doing it.

Pyrrha: But-

YN: Pyrrha please.

Pyrrha: Ok.

She got back into her seat and sat down. I finished making the food and said to may so called parents.

YN: Breakfast is done.

Mom: Bring it to me and your father.

I walk back into the kitchen and I grab the plates with their food on it and I walk back in there and hand them their plates and I grab them their drinks and I go back and I start on making Pyrrha's plate and I give it to her and she then says.

Pyrrha: Thank you for making this for me.

YN: Your welcome.

I use a smile to hide that I am in fact in a lot of pain from being pushed down the stairs.

4 months later

Mom: YN time for you to be outside.

she grabbed the front of my shirt and made me follow her and she chained me outside to a pole with my hands raised up in the air.

Mom: Now you're going to be out here like this until we get back from where were going.

YN: Whatever.

She then hits me with something and I feel my left eye bleed and I look at her and she says.

Mom: No whatever you say yes ma'am and for your father you say yes sir.

She then walks off and I fall to my knees and I am really pissed off because of what they do to me.

There is a massive snowstorm going on and my entire body has gone cold but however I then feel different like my body goes limp and I can't think anymore my whole body has just shut down. I close my eyes and all I saw was darkness.
