My mother, Ashton and I had, as Ash called it, "A Dixon family dinner, minus Callie, plus Ashton."

Turns out Ash and my mom had been in cahoots for a week; Ash flew to Seattle, leaving Europe a day early to visit me and my mom.

He said the boys were flying to LA and that he would meet them there the next day. He said the boys had wanted to come but they had some recording to do in the studio.

"I'm sorry I've been a little MIA lately Charlie. I've just been so busy with the shows, signings, and studio work. I'm really sorry," Ashton said while he ate another taco.

"Ash it's perfectly fine! I know you're busy! Don't worry about it please," I said patting his shoulder.

He sighed, "Alright."

"So what are you and the boys up to?" My mother asked.
"Well Aunt Mo, tomorrow we start our first ever headline tour in North America," Ashton explained proudly.

"You boys aren't coming anywhere best here are you?" My mom questioned.

"Unfortunately not. I think the closest we get is LA. We end in Connecticut in I think two weeks. Then we go home for a while," Ashton explained.

"Did Charlie tell you that she made her decision for college?"

"She did. I couldn't call her, I was getting on and off planes, and highly sleep deprived when she told me. I'm extremely proud of her though," he explained.

I smiled sheepishly.

"Charlie, where's Jacob?" My mom asked.

"He's going to try and spend a night at home. He doesn't want his parents thinking he got kidnapped or something," I explained laughing.

"Well then, that works for Ashton. He can sleep in Jacob's bed," my mom laughed.

"He sleeps here?" Ashton asked me.

"He and his parents don't see eye to eye on pretty much everything. The only thing they can agree on his how much they hate each other. So after every time they have a fight, Jacob gets pissed, tells them he hates them, and drives over here," I explained.

"That bad?"

"Worse than bad. Jacob can't wait for college. He decided to go to a classy music school in Texas. Thinks he can get a job there after college," I explained.

"What's his major?" Ash asked.

"Music education, with a double minor in sound and audio engineering," I said.

"Ah, another music guy," he laughed.

"Oh yeah. Best trumpet player in the school. I think even in the state, he went to a national competition last year and got third and he was up against the best seniors and he beat majority of them. He's getting a full ride to virtually any music school he wants in the country," I explained, proud to be gloating about my best friend.
