The next morning I woke up at ten to find 5 Seconds of Summer's bags packed and by my front door.

The boys were in the kitchen, eating cereal and chatting with Jacob who looked groggier than usual.

"Morning Sleeping Beauty," Jacob mumbled, sipping his coffee.

"I didn't know my bed head was considered beautiful, but hey, I'll take what I can get," I yawned.

Jake was still in his PJs but I noticed the other boys had on sweatpants and sweaters, fitted with their favorite beanies. They looked ready for their flight.

"We're leaving at eleven. Plane takes off at one," Michael said, noticing my looks.

I nodded solemnly.

"On the bright side you'll get to see this nice piece of ass in less than a week," Calum giggled.

"All I see is an ass," Ashton remarked, causing us all to erupt into a fit of laughter.

I made myself a bowl of cereal and sat down at the table next to Luke who was solemnly quiet.

I nudged him, "I'd reckon you'd be a little happy. You get to go home see your family. Sleep in your own bed."

"I just never got to finish something here," he explained, his blue eyes boring into my brown ones.

"You'll be back here before you know it," I reminded him.

"Yeah, but I'm afraid things are going to be different," Luke replied.

"Things can't change that much in three days Luke."

"You'd be surprised."

His thinking puzzled me; I genuinely had no idea what the heck we was talking about. I sat in silence after that, talking to Calum every once in a while about something.

"Charlie!" Michael called, "I really need to know something!"

"Yes Mikey?"

"I know it's hard because we're so awesome but I want to know what you favorite song is by us. Or the one that you think is best written," Michael explained.

I pondered for a while, "I think 'If You Don't Know,' is very well written but I enjoy 'Disconnected,' a lot too."

"Why 'If You Don't Know?'" Luke butted in.

"I can feel the emotion in your voices when you sing. It's real, and it's deep. It's thought and emotion provoking. That's how you know it's a good song," I explained.

He nodded.

At ten thirty we all retired into the living room, the air tension filled.
