I drove over to Luke's house because I knew he would comfort me no matter what.

I knocked on his door.

His mom answered.

"Oh, hi, Marie! How have you -" she then saw the tears in my eyes and embraced me in a hug.

"Hi, Mrs. Hemmings is Luke home?" I asked, sniffling.

"Yes, dear, come in." she pointed to the couch and I sat down, "LUKE! MARIES HERE!" She called out.

"Coming." he replied.

He saw my running mascara, and puffy cheeks and admediatley hugged me and kissed me.

"Whats wrong?" he asked and sat me on his lap.

He shooed his mom off, she obeyed.

"Dad, ju-just lef-t to b-base." I cried, taking breathes between it.

"Oh, yeah, look, don't worry he'll be home before you know it, and he'll be safe, because he has an amazing daughter to come back to!" he cheered me up.

"I am amazing arnt I?" I laughed.

"But no Luke, you don't know that! you don't know what can happen! I mean what if he gets ambushed while searching the area? Huh? What if something worse happens?" I cried.

"Don't think like that Mar," he said.

"You don't understand!" I cried into his shoulder.

"Your right, maybe I don't understand, but I can tell you, he will be safe, he will come home to you and your family, and you guys will be happy, like you've always wanted, I swear to you, he'll be safe, and he'll come back to you." he promised.

I kissed his cheek and interlocked my hand with his, Our hands seemed to fit perfectly together.

Like they were made for eachother, like WE were made for eachother.

"Luke your my one and only." I said.

"Your my one and only." Luke kissed my head.

"There's something I never told you." I spit out, "my mom-" I was cut off.

"Sorry, I accidentally just heard and saw that whole conversation." a stranger walked In.

"Uh, Luke whos this?" I asked.

"This is Jackson, my little cousin he's staying with us while his parents are on vacation." he said, "they went on vacation for a reason!" he silently whispered to me.

"I hear your names Marie, beautiful name, it suits a beautiful woman," Jackson winked.

I smiled while scoffing, "why thankyou," I looked over at Luke.

"Back off Jack! She mine." Luke wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close, making me tingle inside.

"Hun, whatcha doing with a punnie little guy like Lucas, why don't you come and enjoy a real man!" he proudly stated.

"Luke is a real man, my man, plus you look like your 8." I said.

Luke laughed.

"I'm 12! Plus Luke's not a real man because he sleeps in Batman underwear!" Jackson yelled.

I looked over at Luke with a a smirk and eyebrows furrowed.

"Well, anyway, Luke,where can I sign up to get a HOT American girlfriend like yours?" Jackson asked.

"You can't, because there's no on like my Marie." he kissed me.

Jackson gagged and went back upstairs.

"Ok get home, and get some sleep becuase tomorrow's a big day!" Luke said.

"Really what is it?" I pretended i didn't know what tomorrow was, I skipped out of the house.

Luke's pov

"I like her." My mom suddendly walked in.

"Good, cuz I love her." I admitted.

"You know I'm usually against you dating at all, but she's amazing," she admitted.

"Trust me I know." I smiled

"I've seen the way she looks at you, it means she really does love you, I can tell." my mom said.

That made me smile.

"Don't lose her, the best luck you've ever had is her." she said.

"I know." I smiled.

Her name is NOT pronounced Mary, it's Meri, if anyone didn't know.
