I finished my Associates Degree in Engineering. I'm not bothering to get a bachelors degree because I need to stay with my mate.

Dani has a new pack member to deal with. He was an old friend of mine: Will. We were all sure he was going to become an adult vampire/full blooded vampire. But once he began coughing up blood I knew I had to take him to Daniella. She healed him because she knew and trusted him. That bothered me. i don't know why.

I can't stand that Niro guy. Nathan is pretty cool. His twin Natalia is sweet. Both have crushes on members of Dani's pack. Tyler likes Nathan but Nathan likes Rich, too bad Rich is straight. It's funny that all the gay guys like Rich. He must be very annoyed with that. Natalia likes both Rich and Will. I think she's more interested in Will because he is calm and protective.

No one wants anything to do with Jonathan. He's so wrapped up in his jealousy over me and Dani that he just scares people away. I don't find him threatening since Dani and I began the bond. Why bother with teen drama when I can just ignore him and be with my girl, that's how I see it.

Right now the three packs have decided to go to the beach. Seeing my mate in a bikini is great but I would like it better if other guys saw nearly all of her body that way. She and Natalia splashed each other laughing in the water. I love this, I love seeing her happy.

I was sitting on a towel when Niro sat beside me. I have to be under an umbrella so the sun won't burn me. It's not that I can't be out in the sunlight, it's just that my skin is delicate and today is hotter than usual. Niro watched Dani as he talked to me. "She's lucky to have you," his words made my jaw drop. I got back my cool as soon as I could. He was waiting for a reply.

"I'm the lucky one. Not many guys can say that their mate is a vampire-werewolf hybrid," I grinned. That's right my comeback was witty. Niro shook his head.

"You're good for each other. You have saved her time and time again. All I have ever done was get in her way," he paused to look at me. His blueish eyes were filled with a deep emotion that I've never seen on him before. "She's like nothing I've ever seen. I've been treating her like she was a part of my pack; but she deserves better. She's a born leader..." his words were cut off when he saw Dani and Natalia running toward us. Dani jumped onto my lap, knocking me over. She fell down with me. She was laughing, so I started laughing.

My smile faded when I saw a deep scar that looked like a claw mark on her stomach. I sat up straight pulling her with me. She was oblivious to my change of mood. She started to play with my hair. I touched her stomach. "What happened to you?" I said my question using a gentle tone. Dani looked at my hand. Her expression changed to nervousness. I heard something within her call to me. It was her dark adult vampire craving thirsty for my blood. I shook off my desire to please her as I focused on the issue in front of me.

"I got into a fight with Jon. He got mad and turned wolf while I was still talking. It was an accident, baby don't worry," her words confused me. I thought Jon was giving Dani the silent treatment like I told him too. I kissed her stomach. She moaned. I have to be careful there are too many people here. I put her on the towel before I got up.

Then I walked over to Jon. He was reading a book on a beach chair. I pushed the book out of his hands. "I thought I told you to leave MY MATE alone!" I snarled at him. He picked up his book and ignored me. "Your ALPHA is scarred because of you!" I tried to keep my tone even. Jonathan looked at me, his eyes glowed gold as his wolf spoke to me.

"Dani MY mate, is fine. She'll heal," he spoke nonchalantly. I want to choke him. I grabbed him by his neck and pulled him off of the ground. He just looked bored. "I talked to Dani; she said she'll reject Niro for me," his confidence in his lie made me even more furious. I threw him into the sand. Will and Rich were running over here. Dani was holding Niro back.

"Why can't you just let fate take it's course instead of forcing your way into things!" Rich shouted at Jon obviously everyone heard me talking to Jon. Jonathan got up slowly and tackled me to the ground. I groaned as he started punching my stomach. Will and Rich shoved Jon off of me. "Can we please just have one day without your selfishness Jon?" Rich groaned in annoyance. Will nodded in agreement.

Mr. Wolfblood grabbed Jon by his shoulders. "Honestly, Jon if I had to deal with you acting like a jealous ex all the time I would have snapped your neck by now if I was Dani," Damien said with a shrug.

"Stay out of this guys. Dani loves me too, I know it," Jon argued. For the first time, I saw Dani's wolf. She was growling at something behind us. She barked at her pack members and Will shifted too. He ran off into the campsite. I looked behind me and saw huge monster dogs running toward us. Okay some were flying too but they were intense.

One pounced on Dani, gnawing at her legs. Dani whimpered as more dogs came to attack her. I shoved the beasts off of my mate. Dani was terribly injured. I'm not going to let these beasts live. I grabbed one of the dogs and snapped it's neck with ease. Then I moved onto the one that attacked Dani first. I caught it and tore off all of it's limbs.

I looked around the crowd to find Dani's pack. They were fighting the beasts while the one person we never suspected of turning against us was coming up behind Jon with a knife. Damien had a pocket knife in his grip. He watched the fight with eagerness to join. Then he jumped onto Jon's back. Next Damien shoved the knife into Jon's jugular. Jon's body shifted to his human form. He fell to the floor limp and unmoving. I wanted to do something to stop the madness but all I could do was stare at the fight in shock.

Dani's fingers were wrapped around my wrist. I looked down at her. She was in terrible pain. How did we get to this point? I bent down to pick her up when Niro jumped to fight off another dog beast. Tyler joined in the fight and did what I did, rip the beasts apart.

I picked up Dani. She was bleeding and naked. Several bones were broken. "Don't die on me!" I shouted as her eyes closed. I ran as fast as I could to the nearest vampire hospital. "You have to live. Please don't die!" I repeated to her as I ran.
