This weekend each grade or year will go to a special event. The college sophomores are going to a comedy club with a karaoke night. The college freshman are going to a glow in the dark mini golf center. The high school seniors are going to a go kart park to race. My class is going to an ice skating rink. The teachers have supervisors to make sure everyone is safe and behaving. This will be my first time socializing with other 16 year old vampires. I usually stick with Richard and Ali but not this weekend.

Elijah and a few other college students are going with us as the security guards. It's the first time I've seen him without Mina. I greeted him when I got to the van, "Hello Elijah, how are you?" I spoke like a mouse to him. He grabbed my arm in a vice grip. He looked straight forward at the group as he spoke.

"Is everyone here?" he asked a boy in his class. The boy nodded. "Good are you driving, Will?" he asked the boy. Another boy cut in.

"No, Eli, I'm driving the other van. I suppose you're driving this one." The blond haired boy cut told Elijah.

"Yeah, let's go. Everyone in the vans." He shouts at the group.

"You're hurting me." I complained. Elijah glared at me.

"I need you, little bird to keep me calm. That mix smell keeps my inner monster from surfacing." Elijah was pleading with me. Then why don't you let go of me, crazy; is what I wanted to say. His desperation was clear. I gently moved his hand into mine.

He put me in the passenger seat. Then got in the driver's seat. He looked over to see everyone in the vans. Everyone in the van was chattering away with each other. Elijah was getting frustrated more and more as the voices continued. I placed my hand on his shoulder. "You're not like other vampires are you?" I asked him. He glanced at me.

"You'll learn this next year, Dani. Since you are asking I'll tell you now. When a vampire turns from a youth vampire to an adult vampire he or she is put into different lines to be sustained by that blood type. Most vampires get O or A or B. But I got AB. This blood type is vary rare which is why I try to be sustained with unturned vampire blood." He explained. He began driving with one hand on the wheel. I dropped my hand to my side. He picked up my hand and nipped at my index finger. He moaned as he swallowed. I pulled my hand away. Bite me again, freak and I'll bite you back; I really wanted to say that. "You're werewolf blood is a universal blood type. While your vampire blood mixed with it gives it the taste of expensive wine." He's creeping me out. Elijah needs to back off before I punch him.

When we got there, I was too scared to go on the ice. I watched as my classmates had a good time. The blond boy that drove the van came up to me. "So uh Daniella, I heard Elijah told you about his problem." The boy stuttered. I nodded. The blond boy leaned against the railing we were behind. "He's planning on trading up. He wants you instead of Mina. Since he has very little control he has to stay in the school. Your uncle is enrolling him in online college to get his bachelors." The blond boy seems really wise. He smiled at me. "Can I try?" he asked pointing to my wrist. I shrugged and he kissed me. He pressed my back against the railing. His teeth razed against my bottom lip.

"Ouch" I complained as he bite my lower lip. As it bleed he drank my blood. He sucked on my lower lip.

I fell as someone pushed us apart. I looked up and saw Elijah holding the blond boy by his throat. "Are you done, Marcus?" Elijah asked. Marcus looked wild-eyed as he stared at me. Elijah looked at me. "You will never touch her without her consent again." He threatened as he threw Marcus across the floor. "Now get back to your post." Elijah shouted. Marcus ran off.

"Thank you, sir." I said politely. Elijah appeared right in front of me.

He placed his hand on my cheek and touched my lower lip with his thumb. "That dimwit didn't even bother to help you heal. Come here." He pulled me into a hug. Elijah pulled away to lick his thumb. I leaned away from him. "Shush it's okay, an adult vampire's blood or saliva can heal anything." He said gently. He wiped his thumb against my lower lip. My lips tingled as he touched them. Elijah paused to stare into my eyes. He moved away from me.

"You didn't need to do that. Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked him. Elijah looked away. He placed his hand in front of me palm up.

"Will you skate with me... please?" he didn't even bother to look at me. I moved away from him. He looked up at me rejection and fear clear in his eyes.

"No, but thank you for saving me from Marcus." I spoke politely. Elijah nodded.

I walked away. My roommate came up to me. She looked upset. "How dare you!" Estella snarled at me. I rolled my eyes.

"What?" I asked confused. She kicked me in the shin.

"You are a whore! You just kissed two boys in five minutes. And one of them has a girlfriend. What kind of person does that... oh yeah a hoe that's who!" she was causing a commotion. Luckily that guy Will showed up he offered my roommate, Estella to have a soda. I huffed out a long ragged breath. She pushed me to the side as she walked off. Will apologized as he followed her.

When we left, I couldn't be more relieved. This time I sat in Will's van. Estella sat next to him in the front. I sat in the far back next to the window on the driver's side. Let's just say I hope Ali and Rich had a better Saturday than me.
