It's lunch time and I'm so excited to find out what new elective Uncle Judas is putting me in. I hurried to his office with Allison following me. She thought my excitement was hilarious. I saw Elijah sitting in the waiting room at the front office. He showed me his fangs, grinning. "Little Bird!" he greeted me. At least he isn't calling me wolfy or mutt like everyone else. Allison flipped him off. "So you're friends with Uptight Ali?" he scoffed.

"You don't hear me making fun of your friends so don't make fun of mine." I countered sticking out my tongue like a seven year old. The secretary lady giggled at our exchange. I glanced over at her. "Is my uncle in his office? He wanted to discuss my schedule with me." I propped my arms up on the counter to try and look over it. Unfortunately vampires carry the tallness in the species so I got my shortness from my mom.

Height doesn't matter to wolves. If you are shorter to the ground then you can push off the ground faster but if you are taller then you can leap farther. So both sides are needed for fighting and hunting. The secretary interrupted my thoughts. "Dr. Tartarus will see you now." Her British accent was so cute. Not a lot of Europeans come here but how would I know it's my first year. I waved at her as I walked into Uncle Judas' office. Nothing has changed since last week.

After we hugged Uncle Judas went straight to business. "I noticed that your elective isn't something my brother would approve of." I rested my chin on my hand as I listened. Allison walked in. She took a seat beside me. "Can I help you?" he asked her. She smiled at him. Then pointed from her to me. He nodded in understanding.

"What's wrong with Vampire Health and Wellness class?" I asked him yup that's the name of the class as if I would get sick when I became a werewolf at 16. Uncle Judas shook his head.

"You're more werewolf than vampire right now. Actually you're more human than anything. You barely have any desire for blood. You haven't shifted yet. So I'm placing you in self-defense class with the orange class." His words were filled with no nonsense on the subject. I can tell that he felt very strongly about this. Allison grinned at me.

"Oh don't tell me-" I groaned. She showed me her fangs as she smiled from ear to ear.

"Hooray we have a class together." She shouted. She stood up and ran over to my uncle. She hugged him. He mouthed, help, to me. I laughed. He looked so uncomfortable. "This is awesome. I can't wait to tell Richy. Oh Dr. T can you put Richy in the self-defense class with us too. Please, please please." She obviously was suffocating Uncle Judas. He groaned in pain. I smiled.

"Yes yes, just let go of me and go have your lunch. It's almost over." He dismissed us. Allison skipped out of the room. I almost got to the door when he said, "Careful with your friend. Miss. Valentine is showing signs of turning. I don't want you around her when she becomes a full vampire. It's bad enough I'm getting complaints over Mr. Elijah Nordstrom." He paused as the bell went off. I pushed on the door. "No stay, you need to be here when I talk to this boy. You need to learn about the AB effect. Especially since he has an interest in you." I sighed at his explanation.

"Elijah, come in please." I called out in a bored tone. Elijah hurried in the office. He stared down at me. My uncle cleared his throat forcing Elijah to look at him.

"Am I in trouble Dr. T?" Elijah spoke with his head hung low. Uncle Judas pointed to the chair in front of him.

"Sit, boy." He ordered. I gulped I've never seen my Uncle so cold before. He began to pace around the room. "Do you know this girl over there that you took blood from, Mr. Nordstrom?" he asked pointing at me. Elijah didn't look at me; he just hung his head low. "Miss. Wolfblood happens to be my niece." My uncle bellowed. Elijah looked from me to him.

"A royal hybrid" he said in awe. I bit my lower lip. My uncle ignored what Elijah said.

"Since you have an interest in her I am giving you two options. One leave her alone until she is of age-"

"I'm already doing that." Elijah cut him off. My uncle kicked Elijah's chair out from under him. He glared at him.

"Never interrupt an elder. You hear me, boy!" he snarled. I shivered in fear. I wrapped my arms around my legs pulling my knees to my chest. Elijah nodded profusely. "Good my second option for you is to transfer to the north district vampire college." My uncle concluded what he had to say. He went back to his chair. "Dani, don't be afraid to tell anyone that tries to drink from you no. They will be hanged if they assault any non-black cape vampires, understand." I just want to go to class. He dismissed us. I helped Elijah up. His pride was hurt.
