Danielle:
I felt Jon's spirit leave as my pack link was cut up. His death caused me more pain than the beasts that were chomping on my body. I felt my spirit fly out of my body but couldn't fully leave earth because a string held me to my body. I didn't know whether to cut the string and leave or turn and go back.

Elijah's voice continuously spoke to me. He spoke to me constantly on topics ranging from his feelings for me to the weather. He was trying desperately to wake me up. I wanted to come back.

I couldn't open my eyes or anything but I did whimper without opening my mouth. Elijah squeezed my hand cheerfully. "Dani, wake up," he spoke gently. I tried my best to move but all I could do was make noise from my throat.

"Elijah, you need to take care of yourself. Dani wouldn't want to wake up to a stinky mate," Rich told him. My mom was resting on my leg. My dad was arguing with doctors about how the blood has to be vampire blood and not human blood. Will was afraid to be too close to me. He never respected me as a leader but he does fear me.

"How could I have been so naive? There were so many signs of this. I just never thought Damien would turn into a killer," my mom said to someone I can't tell I think it's Tyler or a member of her pack.

I searched for Rich in my pack link. He wasn't too far. "Rich!" I called out to him through the pack mind link. "Rich, it's me!" I tried again.

"Dani?" he spoke allowed. Gosh, if I could move I would hit him right now.

"Yes, it's me. Look I need to know something. Is Damien still alive?" I asked him. Rich put his hand over my left hand.

"Yes, he is on the run with his monster dogs. Those beasts killed 7 of your parents' pack members. Damien killed 3 people using his knife," Rich explained as he squeezed my hand. 11 people died. I will get my brother and force him to accept his punishment for his crimes. Well, I need to start moving then. Come on body cooperate!

I focused on Will. He could hear my conversation with Rich, faintly. "Will," I called to him through the pack mind link.

He ran to my side and grabbed my hand.
"Come on, Alpha!" he said out loud. "Wake up!" he repeated over and over. Well, here's my pack folks. One is weird and the other one overreacts.

"Will, stop being a baby. I'm not dying. I just can't get my body to move not even my eyes," I told him as I desperately tried to move. Will spoke to Elijah.

"Elijah, you won't believe what's happening right now," Will told Elijah happily. Elijah walked slowly over to me. My dad and a doctor were busy trading out my old bag with a new one. My mom was asleep now. I'm worried about her. It's one thing losing pack members but the fact that her son, my brother killed them is just emotionally draining. I can't imagine how hard that must be. Elijah is heartbroken.

"What is it, Will? Can't you see that I'm trying to get ready to take a shower?" Elijah snapped.

"You're going to take a shower here? Ugh never mind," Will put his hand on my shoulder. I tried to move. I scream as loud as a could and nothing happened except my pack members heard me. Will put his hand on my head.

"Dani, shhh," Rich and Will groaned. Elijah took my other hand. He squeezed it.

"What are you talking about? Dani hasn't made a sound," Elijah questioned my pack members. He stroked my hand with his thumb. I try to move, to make noise something.

"This is torture!" I scream to my pack members. Rich chuckled while Will tried to calm me down. I'm hungry. I tried and tried to do something. I can't even open my eyes.

"Dani's awake," Will whispered to Elijah. Complete silence filled the room. "She's talking to us through the packlink." Elijah pulled my hand to his lips. His lips were rough against my fingertips. I can feel his prickly cheeks as he moves my hand along his face.

"Ew Rich, tell Elijah to shave," I scoffed. If only I could tell my mate that on my own. Rich laughed. Will pulled my hand away from Elijah.

"Why did you do that for?" Elijah complained.

"Dani wants you to go take a shower. She said that you smell and you need to shave," Rich translated. Elijah stomped off.

Once Elijah was gone, I could finally rest. I went back into the darkness that sleep holds for me. In my dream, I couldn't rest either. Damien was there waiting for me. I don't know how he did that but I know I see him right there in front of me. I glared at him. He was sitting on a fallen tree with his monster dogs surrounding him. He wore a black cape that fell in waves just barely touching the ground. I crossed my arms, waiting for him to say something. He pulled out a long stick from his cape. He pointed it at me. "You know envy doesn't look good on you, little bro," I sneered at him, mockingly. He called out a spell that caused me to float. I rolled my eyes. "This is your big revenge. How cute... did your little doggy friends teach you this new trick?" I mocked him as the mutants growled at me.

"I hate you, Daniella!" He spoke coldly. His voice was low and tantalizing. He slammed me to the ground with his stick. I groaned in pain. "Grovel at my feet, you filthy mutt!" He shouted at me. I smiled up at him.

"I pity you, brother. All this time you hated me you never stopped to realize that I'm not the enemy... circumstance is-" He interrupted me by using a spell to throw me to his mutants. One giant Boxer pinned me to the ground and snarled at me. His long jagged fangs jutted out. Drool dropped from his jaw and fell to my face.

"This is Shelby. She's the alpha female of my pack. She is especially protective of me," Damien explained to me gesturing to the huge beast. "She's challenging you for your pack," His voice was hard to hear over the surrounding growls of the beasts.

"I am in no mood for a battle with a lab experiment," I insulted them. Shelby bit my shoulder. I screamed in pain. As she went in to bite me again, I kicked her in her stomach as hard as I could. She flew across the field. "You're a coward, Damien!" I shouted as Shelby came charging towards me. "Forcing these once innocent dogs to do your bidding... now that's low," I ranted on. Damien raised his stick in the air and flew over to me. He slapped me across my face.

I rubbed my cheek. Tears pricked my eyes as pain welded up within me. I refuse to fight. Damien grabbed me by my neck and pulled me close to his face. He tilted his face to the side as he stared at my defenseless pose. "Do you know what Dad used to say about you?" He paused to squeeze my neck. I blinked swiftly as tears began to fall from my eyes. He loosened his grip on my neck to allow me to shake my head in reply. "He said that the first time he found out that you were a half breed, he wanted to kill you. Don't worry Mom wouldn't let him. Look around, freak there is no one here to protect you, now." Damien boasted as he squeezed my neck.

Suddenly, someone pulled me away from Damien. Two arms spun me around to stand behind him. I looked up at the same familiar dirty blond hair. "You're wrong, Damien," a familiar voice said with such passion and courage that I felt his back shake against my hands as he spoke. I tried to look at him but he held me in place.

"You're going to protect her? Ha that's impossible," Damien taunted. My friend gripped my shoulders. "Frankly, I doubt that you are even real right now," Damien looked back to me and gave me an evil grin. He put his stick in my face. "Awaken"

With a gasp, I woke up in the hospital. No one is here. I hugged my knees to my chest. I dug through my bag and found some chips. The taste of these delicious sour cream and onion chips make me happy. I'm so grateful to be awake.
