CLEO'S P.O.V
"You look like someone ran a bus over you" Eva scrunched her nose as she threw a disgusted glance at me. I show her the finger before consciously touching a strand of hair that escaped my ultimate classy and comfortable bun. Although not so sure about classy.
I blow out a breath and get back to my laptop. I scroll down a bit more and come across the one photo I knew was perfect because it fit the image I had in mind for the profile of a fake person I was making.
"This is the one. Where have you been all this while?" I grinned as I save the said photo.
"You found it?" Eva raises a brow curiously as she peers over my shoulder at the screen. I quickly shut it and keep it out of her reach. Swivelling around to face her, I give her a teasing wink.
"I thought you didn't care?" I raise a playful brow and smirk up at her irked and rather sheepish expression. She looked ready to do some sucking up to me.
"I was kidding, okay? Besides you of all should know how much this means to me. That and how can I let you do this thing without my much needed assistance" she throws up her hands in the air for extra dramatic measures. I roll my eyes. Very typical of her.
"Leaving that aside you sure you can pull this off. I mean no offence to your skills or anything but this is hella risky. You make one slip and you'll be caught. This is exactly why I told you that I will do it. You could just help me in not chickening out" Eva bites her lip and furrows hers brows at me in concern.
"Oh chill it. Look even if I haven't catfished anyone before in my life, I know the rules and the risks. Just don't get caught and play safe, right? I can do that. And the only reason why I am doing this instead of you is because as you said yourself. You will chicken out. Me on the other hand? I live for this sh*t. Teaching a player a lesson? Hands down the best past time I could possibly ask for" Eva chuckles a little before patting my back.
"Alright then. Get to work charismatic Scooby do. I'll see you tomorrow in school" she breezes past me and heads down the stairs to the front door to meet up with her boyfriend and I wave my hand at her in a bye gesture. Ten seconds later I hear my front door being shut and once again silence ensues in the empty house.
I quickly fill it with the incessant typing on my laptop and the occasional clicking on the mouse.
Yup. It's true. I took Eva up on her offer. To be honest I had my own score to settle with Kade Winston and what better way to do it than beating the player at his own game. However Eva doesn't have to know about this. I would like to keep this a secret.
For Eva this is a favour I am doing for her and her cousin whose identity is still unknown. For her it's me catfishing the player to teach the motherf*cker a lesson about how not to mess with a girl and along the way I get my own sweet revenge for what he did to my best friend. This is going to be so much fun.

"I am scared sh*tless" Eva bites her nails nervously and paces the length of the hallway in front of my locker. I shake my head in amusement before giving her a light shove so that I could get to my locker.
"Ouch" she fakes a hiss and gives me a murderous glare and all I can is: Try again sweetheart. She frowns at me most probably waiting for an apology which by the way she wasn't getting anytime soon and by that I meant never.
"If you are so scared then maybe you should have thought about it again before approaching me." I give her a dry look before throwing all the books in my locker except two and a pen and most importantly my phone and it's companion my earphones. These two can't live without each other. More like I can't live without these two but they don't have to know.
