CLEO'S P.O.V
Eva tugged me towards the bonfire where everyone were sitting around in a circle. I guess there were about 20 or 25 of us including me and Eva but I could be wrong because I don't trust my maths. She passed me a red cup and I gingerly took it to make sure the liquid didn't slosh out of the cup and onto my clothes. I sat crossed leg and exchanged a few smiles with people from my school and engaged in an occasional small talk with a few of them. My eyes scanned the lively party but came up short of finding a certain someone. Eva frowned as her phone rang and she excused herself. She mouthed Dylan when I raised a brow at her in question.
I shook my head and the action made the liquid spill on my thigh. I cursed silently before getting up to rush towards the make shift bar. I am sure they must have some tissues. Just as I turned around my body crashed into his.
"Oh f*ck!" I cursed massaging my throbbing forehead which knocked into his chin.
"A warning would have been nice" I mumbled under my breath as I continued rubbing at my forehead.
"Right. Sorry about that. I couldn't help myself when I saw you" My head shoots up in his direction when I recognize his familiar voice.
"Edwin!" I gasped before my mouth broke in a huge grin and he waved shyly at me.
"Didn't think you would be this happy to see me" He joked lightly running a hand through his dark brown hair appearing more of a reddish colour with the fire highligting it.
"Now, now give yourself more credit than that" I joked back as I punched his arm in a playful manner and he chuckled. He opened his mouth to say something but one guy came up to him and slapped his back with a smirk on his face. He took in a sharp breath as his cheeks turned a light shade of pink. A crush? Oh I am going to have so much fun teasing him about it.
"I see you have stepped up your game. With the way you are going at it, I don't think I'll be able to score any numbers tonight" He grinned and Edwin blushed harder but this time his brows were furrowed and the lines around his mouth were tight with tension.
"Leave me alone, Ray" Edwin grunted with a scowl as he pushed a smug Ray away who in turn raised his hands up as if to say 'what did I do man?' but he still had that silly smirk on his face. He shook his head before patting Edwin's head as if he were a toddler and sauntered off to a group of guys.
"He doesn't look like your type. But I am just saying" I add in a panicked tone afraid he would take offense to it.
"W-what? Wait. How did you know..that..I.." He babbled and his eyes go round with shock. I swallow a giggle at the nervous trainwreck in front of me.
"Well it wasn't exactly Shakespeare but yeah I wouldn't have known if I didn't see the look on your face" I pointed out and waggled my brows suggestively. He groaned loudly and put his head in his hands.
