I tug on the drawstring of my camouflage print lace up top, seriously considering backing out of this...this...night out.

Maybe I should change into a pair of comfortable sweat pants instead of the skinny distressed jeans I wore. I don't want to look like I gave thought to my outfit because that's indirectly admitting to that I gave thought to this night out.

I blow out a breath before sitting on the stairs of my porch and hugging my knees to my chest.

He said he'll be here in 10 and that was 20 minutes ago. I swear if he doesn't turn up in the next 5 minutes-

My thoughts take a step back when a familiar pick up truck turns in my driveway and my heart starts pounding.

I guess there really is no way out of this now, huh?

To be honest a small part of me was hoping he'll cancel at the last minute and even paid sharp attention to my phone waiting for a text or a call saying he couldn't make it and coming up with a creative excuse for it.

But that other part of me desperately wanted to know what this night holds in for me.

"Sorry I took so long" He got out of his truck and ran a hand through his soft mane of ash blonde hair messing it up in that attractive out-of-bed look. My eyes unconsciously scanned the grey elbow sleeved tee outlining the hard body under and dark jeans hanging low on his hip. I shook my head to get rid of all the stupid thoughts running through my mind.

"Apology not accepted" I crossed my arms against my chest and glared at him through my lashes. He grinned at that and took slow steps in my direction. I bit my lip in anticipation as he slowly but steadily closed the distance between us.

"If not words, will this work as an apology?" His lips curled in a lop sided smile as he dug out something from the pocket of his jeans. Damn those jeans. Those very fine jeans. No Cleo! Snap out of it!

I held back an amused snort when his fist unfolded to reveal a super woman key chain. Can I still stay mad at him? I thought as I accepted his gift with a small smile.

"Do you forgive me now?" He said in that deep husky voice of his. I held back a gasp as his scent washed over me. Woodsy again but this time with a hint of soap which smelled like lemon.

Maybe I should ask what cologne and soap he uses. Damn if anything I can actually use this night to find out all his beauty secrets. Now I have a goal.

"Shall we then?" He smirked and held out a hand for me. I hesitantly placed my small hand in his big warm one and he tugged me up.

"Oh we shall alright" I said narrowing my eyes in warning and his smirk grew even more.

"So I have to pick 3 of them?" I said cocking a brow and he nodded though his attention was focused on the road as he carefully manoeuvred his way through the traffic. I stared at the colourful small folded pieces of paper in his glove compartment. There were at least a dozen of those chits where he said he had written a bunch of activities we could do today and wanted me to pick at least 3 out of them.
