Me, Francis, Antonio and Gilbert were walking down the school hall. Each of them flashing smiles at the swooning girls by the lockers.
"So who are the lucky girls you're all talking to prom then?" I asked walking backwards so I could face them.
"I cannot decide. There are so many beautiful girls here it's hard to just pick one." Francis replied, winking at a passing girl who swooned herself into the lockers.
"Should we go as a group?" Antonio suggested "I hadn't really thought of anyone to take anyway."
I looked over to Gilbert.
"Yo Gilbird, who are you taking?" I teased, laughing.
"I like the idea about going as a group, it sounds awesome. I'll probably hook up with someone there anyway."
I felt a pinch in my heart as I turned back around and walked next to the trio.
Francis and Antonio shared a look. They both knew about my crush on Gilbert since the first year of high school but even though they did try to set us up, he was too dense and ended up hurting me without realising.
We walked out of the schools exit, towards the car park. I unlocked my bike and placing my helmet on my head, tightening the straps.
"I'm going dress shopping. Don't forget to rent your tuxes soon." I smiled.
Antonio and Francis had a plan to meet at the dress shop and they were going to help me pick out a dress that would 'wow' Gilbert.
"See ya later!" I waved and I started pedalling away from school.
"Tschüss (Y/n)!" Gilbert waved
"Au revoir!"
"Nos vemos más tarde!"
I smiled to myself as I peddled away.

I arrived at the dress stop and saw the boys waiting for me inside.
"Sorry I'm late." I rushed in, raking a hand through my (h/c) hair. They both came and greeted my
"No worries, Ma Cherie."
"We haven't been waiting too long, mi amiga. Now let's go and get you an amazing dress."
We began looking at all the lovely dresses.
"What kind of dress were you thinking, (Y/n)?" Francis asked as he was looking through the ball gowns.
"I was thinking a (Favourite dress shape) in (Favourite colour). What do you think?"
"Oh yeah, Gil loves that colour, doesn't he Francis?"
"Oui, it is his favourite."
I pulled out a dress and showed the boys.
"What do you think of this one?"
Their mouths dropped open as they nodded in agreement. I took this as a good sign and I went to get changed.

A few minutes later, I got changed and walked out of the changing room.
The dress was made of a light fabric that felt so comfortable and I felt beautiful.
"You look gorgeous, (Y/n). Oh wow!" Francis gushed over the dress
"It's strange to see you out of your normal outfits, (N/n). You look...really pretty."
I turned to look in the mirror and I saw how I looked. I looked and felt incredible.
"What do you think Gilbert would think?" I asked nervously turning back around to see the boys smiling eagerly at me.
"He'll love it!" Cheered Antonio as he came over to hug me. Francis wasn't too far behind and they both hugged me. I payed for the dress and Francis gave me a lift home. I couldn't take a prom dress home with me on a bike so Francis and me loaded my bike into the back of his car and he drove me home.
"Francis, I'm really nervous. What if me telling him my feelings wrecks our friendship, if he doesn't feel the same I don't want anything to change but..."
"Don't worry, Ma Cherie. It won't affect your friendship with him but if worse comes to worse, just tell him I put you up to it as a bit of a prank. Just don't worry about it, it's our prom, it's going to be great."
He smiled over at me. Not his average flirty smile but a genuine smile.
"Thanks, Francy pants." I smirked back, giggling slightly.

The rest of the week passed quickly and the next thing I knew I was on my way to prom. Antonio lived closest to me so he drove me and himself to prom to make life easier. Francis and Gilbert were meeting us there.
My make-up looked awesome and my hair was tied up with curls down my back. I was so nervous I was nearly shaking.
"Please don't worry, (Y/n). He'll definitely say yes because you look amazing."
"Thank you, Toni." I gave a half hearted laugh and stared out of the window at the passing town.
