The putrid cramped room was stuffed full of thin metal bed frames containing thin teenage boys who lay uncomfortably on the rusted springs. The walls lacked wallpaper and were covered in substantial damp blotches, the rotten floorboards creaked dangerously under the weight of all the beds. Each boy wore a face etched with suffering even whilst they were sleeping, their brows were furrowed and the stress lines around their eyes were prominent.

However... One boy lay awake.

His piercing sapphire blue eyes glowed in the darkness as he gazed intently at the molding ceiling, thinking. Why did his parents leave him, or are they even alive? Would he ever see them again? Why would anyone willingly leave their child in a place like this? He wished he could be anywhere else, anywhere away from this.

Little did he know, a dark obscurity hovered outside the dilapidated room watching the teenager. His master was interested, and he wanted to know why.
