*Two Years Ago*
(Y/N) was on the ground in an unfamiliar area with tears streaming down her face, sobbing uncontrollably. She was constantly mumbling one certain phrase as she rocked herself back and forth. "Please, I don't want to leave" over and over in between her gasps for air. She buried her face in her cold palms, as she was shaking. Peter rested his hand on his daughter's shoulder and gave her a loving look. "I'm sorry" he whispered, tears forming in his eyes, as he lifted his daughter off the ground and into a tight hug. Neither of them wanted to let go. He soon pulled away from the hug and looked at her. She walked over to Gamora and buried her face into her shoulder. "I love you mom." (Y/N) whispered. "I love you more, please be safe, sweetie" Gamora whispered back as she pushed a strand of (Y/N)'s (H/C) hair behind her ear. (Y/N) let go of her mother and took a deep breath. She turned back towards Peter as he took her hand. He looked directly into his daughters eyes as he spoke. "This is for your safety. Remember that." Then, he led her to a pod, and nodded at her. "It's time to go, sweetie" he said, holding in his own tears. He needed to appear strong for his daughter, attempting to show her that he made the right decision. After all, she looked up to him.(Y/N)'s eyes opened almost instantly as she shot up from her bed and gasped for air. She was dripping in sweat. As she began to rub her eyes she felt a wet substance on her cheeks. Tears. (Y/N) had been crying in her sleep. She glanced around the room and soon became aware of her surroundings. She was still in her bedroom. It was just a dream. But why did it feel so real? (Y/N) sighed at the thought of her horrid nightmare and wondered what could have possibly caused such a terrible dream.
(Y/N) had always been close to her father, after all, she didn't have many other friends besides Baby Groot, whom was like her little brother. Having to travel all the time due to her family's mission to guard the galaxy, she didn't really have a chance to make friends. Maybe she was afraid of losing her family? She checked her clock, which read four o'clock am. (Y/N) decided not to go back to sleep just yet. She slowly emerged from the fluffy blanket on top of her bed and headed towards the kitchen.
She was craving some zark nuts, so she opened the cupboards and grabbed a bag. As she opened the bag, many more questions about her nightmare began to float around in her brain. Why was I crying? Why didn't I want to leave? Why did I look older? Why was I going into a pod? Where was I going? What was for my safety? (Y/N) sighed once more, and she sat at the kitchen table as she proceeded to eat the zark nuts, one by one.
Second Person POV
Not too long later, you were startled by the one and only, Drax. "(Y/N)? What are you doing? It's past 4 am." he said. You jumped out of your seat, frightened. You hadn't even noticed him there. "How long have you been standing there?!" you whisper yelled, not wanting to wake up anyone else on the ship. You were always traveling, so the ship was practically your home. "An hour." He responded nonchalantly. "An hour?!" you exclaimed, clearly confused. "I've mastered the ability of standing, so incredibly still, that I've become invisible to the eye." he remarked. You looked at him very puzzled, but you just shrugged it off. Finally, you decided to answer his previous question, "Just a bad dream, that's all..." you claimed, under your breath as you looked away. You made it clear that you weren't ready to talk about it. Drax just gave you a concerned look and nodded. He advised you should go back to bed, and get some rest. You decided to follow his advice and as soon as you finished your bag of zark nuts, you dragged yourself back to your bedroom. You tucked yourself in and shut your eyes. Goodbye father.
A/N: I know this is short, but it's just an introduction. This is my very first fanfic, so I'm sorry if its bad. Feel free to give me tips! I'd also like to point out that this takes place when Y/N Quill is 13. Which means, she is 15 in present time. Each chapter will take me a lot of time, because my goal is to write at least 1,500 words per chapter. I also like to proofread each chapter so that will take awhile as well. I'll try to get chapter one up as soon as I can. Also I'm very proud of my cover :)
