Without even a word, (Y/N) went back to searching. She didn't say anything, not even a thank you. "H-" Peter began. "Do not talk to me." (Y/N) shot back very bitterly and almost immediately as she walked away. Peter frowned at this. Did one lie really do all this? Peter was a clueless boy wasn't he? All (Y/N) wanted was a genuine apology. The apology he had given was just purely out of guilt. It sounded like someone had forced it out of him. As if he felt he had to apologize. He was too busy regretting his decision that he didn't even think about how much he actually hurt (Y/N). He couldn't even give her a genuine apology. It seemed petty but he was a jerk to her, so she deserved one. (Y/N) had no idea where to go from where they were currently. She began to become anxious, not having a single clue as to how to leave. She leaned against a wall of a building and took a deep breath. Her back slowly slid down against the wall, tired from searching. Peter stared at her nervously, hoping she would at least be able to look him in the eye. She couldn't.
Peter's stomach had begun to growl very loudly. Embarrassed, he rubbed the back of his neck and searched for some food. When he found the nearest cafe, he walked inside. Figuring the people couldn't see him, he grabbed a muffin from the counter and attempted to bite into it. It didn't take long until he realized that he couldn't eat anything that he didn't bring with him. Now what was he supposed to do? Ask (Y/N)? He knew (Y/N) wasn't going to talk to him but he was going to try anyway. As he approached (Y/N), he paused before slightly chuckling nervously. "Do you have anything to eat?" He whispered. (Y/N) shot a glance at Peter, her eyes drilling through his soul. His eyes frantically moving around, as the guilt got to him even more. She rolled her eyes and pulled out a granola bar from her pocket. She broke it in half before tossing one half to Peter. "T-Thanks..." Peter stuttered.
She turned her head to the left, resting it on the wall and tightly shut her eyes. She didn't want to look at Peter and she felt so home sick. She was just a teen and her family had practically abandoned her on a foreign planet. Her emotions had begun to overwhelm her, as she had never felt betray before. This was all new to her and she had no clue how to react. She didn't know whether to be annoyed, angry, or scared. In fact, she was all three of them. Not too long after, (Y/N) had drifted into a sleep. Peter smiled softly at the sight of her and her light snores. Hesitantly, he sat beside her, staring out at the streets before him. Unconsciously, (Y/N) had placed her head onto Peter's shoulder. At first he tensed up a bit in shock but eventually he eased up and let out a shaky and small chuckle.
Somehow, after everything that had been going on she managed to fall asleep in the middle of all of it. She probably needed it though, she was absolutely drained. He slightly turned to face her as he studied her features, his eyes lingering on her luscious lips the longest. He had the strong and sudden urge to kiss her right then and there. It was at that moment when Peter Benjamin Parker realized how hard he was falling for (Y/N). When it finally hit him, his soft expression turned into a slight panic. He'd never felt this way about anyone. He was new to this love thing and he didn't know what to do. He already knew (Y/N) liked him, but he screwed up. He absolutely screwed up. Shit. He had hurt her so much that she couldn't even look at him. Telling (Y/N) that he loved her wasn't really going to fix things. He needed to gain her trust again. He didn't want to disturb (Y/N) so he gently placed his head on top of hers and went deep into thought. He eventually fell asleep as well.
*Time Skip*
A couple of hours had passed and (Y/N)'s eyes were beginning to slowly flutter open. The bright street lights were blinding her for a few moments until her eyes had adjusted. She glanced down at her hands noticing a bigger hand intertwined with her fingers. Her eyes widened as her eyes trailed up to the arms, realizing that there was a head rested upon her own. In panic, she flinched away from the body. As she got up, there was a small thud. "Ow!" a voice yelped. (Y/N) whipped her head around to see Peter on the ground, clutching his arm. As they were not on speaking terms, she awkwardly stared at him debating on whether or not she should help him up. She decided that she wasn't going to entirely be a jerk and extended her arm out for him to grip on to. Peter looked at her in confusion, but he wasn't complaining. Progress. He thought to himself. He grabbed her hand and stood up.
Peter smiled a little at (Y/N), silently thanking her. She just let go of his hand and gave him a slight nod. She let out a long sigh gently rubbing her temples. Her eyes wandered all over the place , but her body was still faced towards Peter. Everything in her sight became glossy as tears formed slowly rolling down her cheeks. This time she let out a small shaky sigh. Peter's expression softened and all he wanted to do was hold her, but he knew it would be too soon for (Y/N). She had to go to him first and willingly, before he tried anything.
"We're never going to get out of here, are we?" she chuckled softly, tears still flowing. "Hey..." Peter replied awkwardly putting his hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder, knowing his boundaries. "...don't think like that. I'm sure we'll find a way as soon as we can," he gently smiled at her. He rubbed her shoulder a bit, trying to cut the tension whilst comforting her at the same time. He dropped his arm and seemed hesitant to say something.
"Hey, uh listen..." he whispered. (Y/N) looked at him as he stared at the ground and rubbed the back of his neck. "...I uh, I wanted to apologize for everything. I'm so sorry I lied to you, you didn't deserve that. I should have never betrayed your trust. I never meant to hurt you. It was never my intention. I've seen how it feels to get hurt like that. Especially after my uncle passed away. I saw how Aunt May acted. I was so afraid to get into a relationship because I didn't want to feel the pain I saw Aunt May feel aster losing my uncle. I was so focused on protecting myself while trying to manage my feelings. It didn't work and because it didn't, it cost me my friendship with you. I was a jerk and there's no excuse for that. If you don't want anything to do with me after we get out of here then I understand. It's up to you,".
(Y/N) let out a little sob and covered her face as more tears rolled out. "god, Peter do you realize how long I've been waiting for that? All I wanted was a genuine apology and some closure. And yeah, you were a jerk. I'm not used to this stuff, right now I'm just so overwhelmed with emotions. You being an ass didn't help at ALL," she said. A pang of guilt stabbed him in the chest. They stood there in silence until (Y/N) whispered, "I want to go home". Peter couldn't help himself anymore. He was starting to get antsy and decided to just hug her. He wrapped his arms around her waist. (Y/N) rested her head in the crook of his neck, staining his suit with tears. She melted in his arms as it just felt so right. "Me too," Peter whispered softly.
"Oh, good!" A deep voice exclaimed. Peter and (Y/N) jumped apart, startled. It was Dr. Strange, but they didn't know that. He opened up another portal pushing them both though. This time the portal led to the middle of Tony's lab. Tony stood there leaning against the island counter watching in amusement as the teens fell onto the ground before him. Peter sat up, groaning. He looked around and to his surprise Tony was staring at him. "Mr. Stark?" the boy inquired. "Hey kid," he smiled and then looked at Stephen, "I take it, it worked?". "Yeah they hugged and everything," Stephen chuckled. Tony smirked at that, knowing he could use this against Peter or (Y/N) one day.
