*Present Day*
(Y/N)'s POV
I was just chilling on the ship, staring at the ceiling, deep in my thoughts, when all of the sudden I heard a gigantic BANG. I nearly fell off my bed. I got up to check what was happening but I couldn't see anything. I was alone on the ship so I was pretty terrified, not gonna lie. My family was on the planet we were hovering over, due to some sort of mission. I couldn't really tell which realm we were in, to be exact, or what the mission was.

Did I forget to mention my family was the Guardians of the Galaxy? My name is Y/N Quill, daughter of Peter Quill and Gamora. My father is the leader, and prefers to be called Starlord, but no one listens to him anyway. He's also a very over protective and a caring dad. Ever since I was very little, he and I have been very close. My mother Gamora, is very calm most of time, but she can have an attitude when she wants to. She has such amazing powers as well, and sometimes I wish I had them. She and I aren't as close as Dad and I are, but I can still talk to her about almost anything. Rocket Raccoon, is kind of like my second dad, I guess. He doesn't really hang out with me much, but he always feels the need to protect me. Drax and Mantis, are both very fun people, and I'm extremely glad to have them in my life. Whenever I'm sad, they cheer me up. Let's not forget Baby Groot. He's basically my only friend, but he's like a little brother to me. We always have each other's back.

Anyway I- BANG, right, I forgot about that noise. I decided to take a look around my surroundings. Curiosity creeped up my spine as I wandered around the ship, attempting to find the source of the noise. I looked through the window on the door, and saw my father standing on the ground, with worry written all over his face. You could easily tell that he was panicking, he wasn't the best at hiding his expressions. I noticed he had his eyes fixed on something in the distance, so I too, looked in that direction. There was another ship with some sort of huge machinery on top. I couldn't quite make out what it was until it came a little bit closer. Guns.

I looked back down to the ground, only to see a field full of soldiers fighting my family. They were outnumbered by a lot. I felt so helpless. I was practically forbidden to join their fights. My parents would make me stay up in the ship. As I was once again, lost in my thoughts, trying to figure out a way to help, the other ship was getting closer. It took me awhile to realize that it was headed towards me. My eyes widened as I saw the machinery begin to load up. They were going to shoot at me. I ran to the control room as fast as I could. I began to panic and starting pressing buttons. I sort of knew how to fly the ship, courtesy of my brief lessons with my dad, but since I was panicking, I was a bit disoriented.

Third Person POV
As (Y/N) pushed several buttons, the ship was starting to power up. The ship began to slightly dodge the bullets, and it didn't take long for her mother to notice she was in danger. She began to fight the soldiers, rage filling up her eyes. Under no circumstances was she going to let her only daughter be harmed. Gamora was able to take down at least 4 soldiers at a time using only her bare hands. (Y/N) steered the ship closer to the ground, where Rocket was able to hop on and shoot soldiers from a higher distance.

He scrambled back to the weapon room and grabbed as many grenades as he could. He began throwing them, one by one. Each of them taking down approximately 15 soldiers. Soon enough more than half of the soldiers were down. Rocket rushed into the control room. He nodded at (Y/N) signaling that she's done enough and he'll take over. She stepped aside, and Rocket sat in the seat and began steering the ship and shooting at some more soldiers. (Y/N) slowly walked towards the windows, and observed the battle field. Once again, she felt very helpless. Her entire family was in danger and she couldn't do much about it. After awhile of just staring at the fight, (Y/N) decided that she would, in fact, do something about it.

(Y/N) made her way into the weapon room and grabbed a laser blaster. As soon as she loaded it up and put on some protective armor, she ran towards the door. She waited for the right moment for the ship to get closer to the ground. When she saw her chance she took it. (Y/N) hopped off and landed on the ground. It took her a minute to recollect herself, and figure out how the gun worked. She started off shooting at easy targets, such as soldiers standing by, or some off guard. She kept shooting until she took down about 7 soldiers.

At this point, (Y/N) was sweating, but she kept on going. She looked in Starlord's direction and noticed he was struggling to fight a certain soldier. She shot at them, saving her dad. Confused, Peter Quill looked at where the laser came from. That's when he saw his 15 year old daughter, standing there with a gun in her hand. His eyes widened, but his attention was quickly redirected back towards the soldiers, as one of them shot at him.

(Y/N) ran towards Mantis' side as she used her combat skills. (Y/N) stood back to back with Mantis and began shooting any soldiers trying to sneak up on Mantis from behind. Only about 2 minutes later Baby Groot, hopped on to (Y/N)'s shoulder, exhausted. As he rested on her shoulder, she ran back towards the ship, helping him back on. He ran to the control and decided to help Rocket.

Not too long later, all the soldiers were down and the Guardians of the Galaxy had gotten what they needed. They all went back up to the ship. Peter looked furious, and everyone felt the tension in the room. Rocket and Groot were still in the control room steering the ship away, and Mantis and Drax had gone to their rooms, obviously not wanting to be part of whatever was going to happen.

Peter Quill's POV
What the hell was (Y/N) thinking?! She put herself in more danger than she already was in! I looked at my daughter and I lost it. "WHAT THE HELL (Y/N)" I yelled. She hung her head low. "YOU COULD'VE GOTTEN HURT" I continued. "...but I didn't" she whispered. I walked towards her and yanked the gun out of her hands. "You see this?" I held it up in front of her face. "You're not allowed to use these."

"BUT DAD!" she yelled back. "I WAS ONLY TRYING TO HELP." I didn't like yelling at her at all, but the thought of losing my only daughter hurts a lot. I'm only trying to protect her. "(Y/N) DO NOT TALK BACK TO ME. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH ANY SORT OF WEAPON, YOU HEAR ME? GO TO YOUR ROOM. NOW." I shouted. Gamora just stared at me, blankly. I glanced at my daughter. Tears began to fill her eyes, she covered her face, and ran to her room. I felt terrible.

*Time Skip*

(Y/N)'s POV
It's been about an hour since I was sent to my room by Dad. I don't really know what I did wrong, after all, everyone else in my family fights. Not to mention Baby Groot, who is way younger than me, does it too. Dad's never yelled at me like that. I've never seen him so angry. I'm assuming Mom calmed him down because after I entered my room, I heard a bit more yelling, followed by a softer "I'm sorry". Click. I heard the door open, and I buried my face into a pillow I rapidly grabbed. It was Dad. He silently walked into the room, shutting the door behind him. He sat on the bed and just stared at the ground. We just sat in silence, until he finally spoke. "I'm sorry I yelled at you." He whispered. I didn't respond. "I was just really concerned about you. The thought of losing you is terrifying." he continued. "If I ever lost you, I'd never forgive myself, (Y/N)."

I lifted my head from the pillow and looked at him directly in the eye. "I just want to protect you, (Y/N). I only want you to be safe." He went on. I still had no reaction. "Which is why, your mother and I have made a very important decision." He went silent. We sat there in silence again for about 5 more minutes until he began to talk again. "We decided that it would be best, if we sent you away, to somewhere safe. We promise that it's for your safety."

A/N: I know this is a Peter Parker x Reader. I promise he's coming in the next chapter, but there isn't going to be any feelings just yet :)
