When I pulled up to the house, our street was lined with cars decorated with various band stickers and triforces. I sighed, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
"Partaaayy!!!" Dylan yelled, pulling me up to the house. I hesitantly opened the door and concert goers started filing in and making their way to the kitchen and living room. 'Changes' by Deftones flooded our speakers as the last few people came in. I frowned slightly, noticing Austin and Jared hadn't made it.
About an hour had passed, and everyone was pretty tipsy. We had plugged in the karaoke machine which probably wasn't the greatest idea. I was screaming the lyrics to All Star when I saw Austin and Jared walk in with a six pack of Angry Orchard.
"The fuckin' party is here!" Jared yelled while raising up the six pack. I jumped of the table mid song and ran to hug them. I hugged Austin first. The quickness of my approach seemed to startle him, but he relaxed once he realized he knew me. Jared put down his six pack to hug me. He lifted me up a bit and I hugged him tighter before being interrupted.
"I take it these are the chill dudes from earlier?" Dylan said wrapping his arms around me, almost pulling me away from Jared. I cleared my throat.
"Dylan, this Jared," they passive aggressively shook hands, "and this is Austin." Dylan and Austin didn't seem to have any problem with each other compared to him and Jared.
"Well, guys, thanks for coming out. You can stay the night if you need to, I'm sure everyone else will." Dylan said before walking away.
"Yikes, guess we're having a huge ass sleepover, huh?" Austin said, clearly picking up on my discomfort. Jared stretched the six pack in my direction.
"Take a drink, you're going to need it." He laughed, trying to lighten my mood. I shook off the stress and decided to enjoy the night for what it was. I walked into the kitchen and did a full 360. People were skinny dipping in our pool, doing body shots on the dining table, and probably coke in the bathroom for all I knew.
OH BOY 3 A.M.
At around three in the morning, the action started to slow down and some people even went home, which was a relief. Austin, Jared, and I sat on the couch watching Adventure Time and eating my left over sushi. Austin was sober, but Jared and I on the other hand...
"Am I the only one who think that last shot was one too many?" Jared said looking at me, purposefully going cross eyed. I burst out in laughter and threw my head back.
"Um, I think the last three shots were too many!" I said putting my hand on his knee while regaining my composure.
"So how long have you and Dylan been living here? I'd imagine the neighbors love parties like these all the time." I tensed a little and tilted my head in thought.
"It's kind of hard to say.. I mean, we've been living together for a year I think."
"A year? How long have you guys been together?" Jared chimed in. I retracted my hand from his knee and shifted so I was facing both of them more.
"Well, he and I are an on and off type of things. We've always been so close, but sometimes things get weird with a label, if you know what I mean? We've probably actually been together for a month this time." I quieted down as Dylan drunkenly flopped down next to me on the couch. "Hey, you feeling okay?" I asked, putting my arm around him.
"...bed." He slurred while putting his arm over my shoulders. I sighed and picked him up bridal style. I smirked at how much of a baby he could be at times. I carried him to his room and laid him under his covers. I kissed his forehead and turned to see Austin standing in the doorway. I turned the light off and closed the door as we walked back towards the main room.
"Is he always like that?" Austin asked leaning against the hall wall.
"Pretty much.. I love him, but sometimes it's a bit much. We have to grow up at some point." I sighed, leaning against the wall as well. "Are you feeling tired yet? Or are you guys going to drive home?" I asked.
"I think we're going to do the whole couch crash thing, if that's still okay?" He asked hopefully.
"Of course it's okay! Help me get the comforters from the top shelf?" He nodded and laughed, following me to the linen closet.
Another couple of hours had passed and everyone was either passed out or gone home, besides Jared and I. We sat on my kitchen counter looking at what was left of my house.
"Big oof." I laughed before taking another shot of Captain Morgan White.
"You said it." Jared replied, taking a swig from the same bottle. "Want to go swimming?" He inquired, while hopping off the counter. I took his stretched hand and hopped off as well.
"Fuck no, I'd rather sleep." I said staggering a bit toward the hall way. Jared held onto my waist and smirked.
"I gotcha, you're not going to fall on my watch." I blushed faintly, knowing he couldn't see my face. I was going to respond when I felt a sudden urge to run to the restroom.
"Fuck me..." I exhaled after power puking into the toilet.
"At least take me to dinner first." Jared said sarcastically as he crouched down next to me.
"Very funny." I rolled my eyes and wiped my mouth with some toilet paper. Jared flushed the toilet and I proceeded to brush my teeth. I glanced at Austin sleeping on the pull out couch, as we quietly stumbled to my room down the hall.
"You guys have separate rooms?" Jared slurred slightly.
"Like I said earlier, sometimes we're together and sometimes we're not." I shook my head as I plugged my phone in next to my bed. A few moments of silence passed. "So are you sleeping in here or in there?" I asked bluntly. He seemed taken aback for a second by my question. "You kept standing there so I assumed you wanted to sleep in here."
"You barely know me though?" He said suspiciously.
"And you barely know me." I said turning off the hallway light. "It's up to you, dude." I said as I got under my covers. I rolled over and started scrolling on my phone and laughed as Jared turned off the light and laid next to me. "I meant on the trundle, but that works." I could almost feel his facial expression changed.
"They still make trundle beds? And this big?" He laughed, completely bypassing any awkwardness. "Crazy shit.." He trailed off. I rolled my eyes and turned my phone off. "We should make a video tomorrow for each of our channels.." Jared mumbled.
"You went snooping didn't you?" I asked, turning to face him. The drunken sleepy phase was upon both of us at this point.
"Don't act like you didn't look me up too." He said confidently, with his eyes closed. My heart skipped a beat from shock. I couldn't lie, I did do a few more curious google searches on both of them before they got there.
"Fine," I sighed, "When Dylan leaves for work we can all film." A small smile crept onto his face and I knew, in that moment, I was bound to get into a fucked situation.
