Keith had received a detention for starting a fight with Lotor. Shiro gave Keith no choice but to let him collect Keith from his detention and walk him home. "So why did you do it?" Shiro asked putting his arm around his younger brother. "He got into a fight with lance and did some damage so I decided to stand up for lance..." Keith said facing the floor. "You know if you do it again your be suspended right?" "Yeah..." "I don't want you to ever feel like you have no one to talk to about your feelings," Shiro smiled. "Thanks, I'm gonna stop off at Lances to see if he's alright, he wasn't in school today." Shiro simply smiled and nodded as Keith turned to go knock on Lance's door. He rang the doorbell to find Benji trying to stop the twins from getting out the door. Lance ran down the stairs to help with the twins to look up and see Keith. He smiled. "Is it alright if I come in?" Keith asked. "The doors always open," Lance responded chasing his sister into the kitchen. Keith walked in, slipped off his shoes and headed up to Lances room, lance trailing behind him. The two boys sat on the bed cross-legged facing each over. "You weren't in school today."
Keith said bluntly. "I needed some time to myself, I haven't been the best recently." Keith looked him in the eyes. "I noticed, wanna talk about it?" "Not really, but I have been wanting to do this." Lance leaned in and placed his lips onto of Keith's. Keith wrapped his arms around Lance and they continued to passionately make out until they were interrupted. There was a knock at the door. It was Cleo. "Lance why is this razor covered in blood?" Lance shuffled away from Keith. He looked it up and down with wide eyes, "I'm not sure, it's not mine, asked benji?" Lance said not avoiding eye contact with his sister. She sighed, "okay."
As soon as Cleo left the doorway Keith's eye started towards lance as he grabbed lances arm. He rolled up Lances blue sleeve to find a few cuts on his wrist.  Keith shook his head. This can't be happening.. Keith thought to himself. Lance didn't know how to respond. Streams of tears fell from lances eyes. He didn't know what to say. "Lance..." Keith said quietly. "I'm sorry..." Lance sulked trying to keep control of himself. "Don't be! You can talk to me you know! I- I- I love you!" Keith started to cry and pulled lance into a hug. "I love you too." Lance had self harmed in the pass. He was bullied a lot in his earlier years of high school and couldn't take it. "Why- did you do it?" Keith asked holding back his tears. "My anxiety took over I guess... I thought no one loved me... or need me... I want to die..." Keith was shocked. "Shush it's okay, I love you and even if nobody else did, I always will." Keith tried his hardest to calm lance down. They cuddled for hours until lance fell asleep in Keith's arms. Keith heard little snores coming from lance which made him giggle. Eventually Keith fell asleep.
