The Wendigo is a Native American legend that started in the North woods of the Atlantic coast through the great lakes region in both the United States and Canada it is typically associated with cannibalism, greed, and taboos. It is said that a person can become a Wendigo by being insanely greedy or being in contact with a Windigo too long.
