The Sloss Furnace was a steel production facility in Birmingham, Alabama while many lost their lives working in this naturally dangerous work environment a foreman named Slag is said to haunt the place, slag wasn't a nice guy by any stretch of the imagination he was mean and borderline a slave driver making people unfortunate enough to be on his shift take risks to crank out steel. One day slag went to the top of the largest of all the plants blast furnaces and lost his footing and fell into the vat of melted iron which killed him now he is said to push the night guards often saying "get back to work" as he shoves them one unfortunate night guard was severely beaten and burned by what he described as a half man half demon who tried making him go up the stairs he refused and was beaten senseless. Another time 3 supervisors went missing and were found unconscious in a small boiler room none of them knew what really happened but they all remember a man with horribly burned skin saying something about "pushing some steel".
