"You all waited," Jason says, shining us all a small grin.

"Yeah well, this girl insisted on it," The girl in the yellow jacket says. She points at me causing everyone to turn their heads. Jason's smile grows while he looks at me making butterflies erupt in my stomach.

"It's just that we're a team now right? I guess we should all treat each other like one." I say looking down at my feet and fidgeting with my hands.

"Hold on you really believe all that crap. The whole Power Rangers shit?" The yellow jacket girl says.

"You don't?" I respond, finally looking up from the ground.

"Who are you exactly?" Jason says to the girl.

"Really? Now you're going to ask me who I am?" She responds.

"Look her name is Didi," Zach says proudly walking towards the girl.

"Trini," The girl corrects him.

Kim adds on to the conversation by saying, "She's new at school. Transferred in a month ago. We have English together right?"

"I've been at Angel Grove for over a year now and we have biology together, good talk," Trini says while throwing her backpack over her shoulder.

"Wait, look none of us really know each other, okay? But somehow we were all in the same place at the same time when Billy found those coins," Jason starts to say before getting interrupted by Billy.

"Wait! Wait wait, can I ask a question?" He says while standing up tall, and proud on a nearby rock. "Are we really superheroes? Like are we more like Iron man or Spider-man? Because I feel like I've been bit by a spider but I feel really good you know not as-" Billy rambles on making Zach stand up.

"All right look bro trust me. You're not a superhero." He says. I frown as I notice Billys face go from his normal go-lucky smile to a now disappointed look.

"Why are you talking to us like you're the boss now?" Trini stands up for herself. I like this girl.

"Hey, hold up could any of this Rita stuff be real? Could any of it be true?" Kim asks glancing between the five people around her.

"I don't know," Jason starts to say. "But, I know that the answer to whats wrong with us and what happening to us is here." He says while looking behind him at the large, metal, ship.

"So what are you saying?" Kimberley asks.

"He's saying that we gotta come back," I say looking at Jason. He nods in agreement.

Jason adds on to what I was saying, "Look I cant make you come back here but, 4:00 tomorrow, I'll be here."

"Me too," I said stepping forward to be next to Jason looking up at him. He grabs my hand and smiles at me, once again making butterflies fly in my stomach. Billy starts to say something but gets interrupted by me and Jason springing upward and out of the water.

When we get out of the water and onto the cliff Jason looks at me and says, "Wow I didn't think that would work!" He laughs in-between words making me laugh too.

"Yeah well, can you give me a warning next time you want to defy gravity with me," I joke as I wring the water out of my hair. We both laugh, our giggles fill the air.

Suddenly we fall silent waiting for the others to join us, considering I was Billy and Kimberley's ride home. I roll my foot on the ground waiting for the others to catch up with Jason and me.

Jason breaks the silence by saying, "I know this may sound like a stupid question but, are you okay?"

I take a second to think about the question before answering with, "I'm fine. I think." I let out a small laugh before continuing. "Considering that I just talked to a robot, I'm still not 100% sure I'm even alive right now, and I just got told I'm a superhero I think I'm doing pretty good." I let out another nervous laugh.

Jason smiles at me and says, "Yeah I think you're doing pretty good." He smiles at me making my cheeks turn a light red flush. We hear the sounds of footsteps behind us. I turn around to see Billy, Kim, Trini, and Zach all standing in front of me. A moment of silence washes over us before Kim breaks the silence.

"Um...are we going to leave or.." She asks.

"Uh yeah sorry," I say before I reach into my pocket and grab the car keys. We walk, yet again in silence, to where I parked my car. Somewhere along the walk Trini and Zach went their own ways leaving just the four of us.

I first drop off Kim, her house being the closest. Then I drop off billy leaving only me and Jason in the car.

"So..." Jason says, turning down the radio that Billy had turned up only moments earlier.

"So..." I say back mocking him. He laughs before saying,

"I'm glad we got to hang out today,"

"I wouldn't really call this hanging out."

"What?! I mean we're gonna be superheroes together, That's practically like dating." Jason says sarcastically before laughing.

"Yeah, that is if this whole Power Rangers thing is real," I say looking over at Jason. "And besides I have a boyfriend remember?"

"How could I forget?" Jason says under his breath. He rolls his eyes before saying,

"Why do you even date Hunter anyways, he always flirts with other girls while you're not around," Jason announces with an angry tone.

"Oh come on Jason he's always been nice to me. And besides, you're one to talk, leaving me for some stupid sport." I yell back.

I pull into Jason's driveway and park the car.

"Really, Maia you know that football meant a lot to me." He says looking over at me.

"So football means more to you than I do?" I practically yell at Jason.

"No Maia wait I didn't me-"

"Just get out Jason," I say calmer this time. When he doesn't listen I raise my voice, "Get Out!"

He doesn't say anything, instead just quietly gets out of the car. All I'm left with is the soft hum of the radio and the loud thoughts in my head. I feel tears threaten to spill out of my eyes. I back out of the driveway and drive down the road to my house, turning up the radio to block out my thoughts.

Guilt starts to overtake me as I replay the events of the last few moments. Jason is right, I see Hunter flirting with other girls all the time but it never bugged me. I guess that's because I never really loved him.

I always pushed these sort of thoughts to the back of my mind but, as of recently Jason has been making me think. Is Hunter really the one I want to be with?

Or is it someone else?

A/N: wow ok um I didn't think this chapter would take this turn but when I started writing I just couldn't stop lol. And also I've been thinking about writing a face claims book because honestly, that's the hardest part about writing. Should I idk.

word count: 1257 (dang I even deleted a  bunch of the ending to make it shorter but clearly that didn't do much)
