"Justin I'm scared" I whine as my boyfriend, Justin walks with me to the empty outdoor ice rink.

It's around 12pm and I snuck out with Justin to go skating. Public skating ends at 10pm but the lights are still on, odd.

Its empty, dark except for the bright lights shining down on the rink. The air was cold, I could see me breath fog.

"It's alright love. I'll make sure you don't fall" he coos. I've never been the greatest skater ever, so I'm worried.

We come up to the gate to enter the rink which is locked. Luckily the surrounding is about 8 feet high so we can just jump over.

Justin let's go of my hand and jumps over first. His skates echo off the ice. He turns to me and smiles while out stretching his arms.

"Come on baby I got you" he says softly, like honey and silk. I hop up on the edge, landing on my bum and swing my feet over so there dangling over the ice.

Justin takes a little step coming close to me and wraps his arms around my waist while lowering me down carefully.

I grab onto his biceps and let out a breath of air when my skates hit the cold ice. He switches so he's holding onto my waist firmly.

"Just stay still" he says quietly and gives me a smile. His warm facial features relax me and he starts moving backwards slowly.

I look down seeing my skates glide smoothly over the ice. He slowly leads me around the rink as I hold onto him for dear life.

After a few minutes he asks me "wanna try yourself?". I give him a unsure look. He chuckles lightly. "just move your feet a bit" he explains.

I slowly slide them up and down. "Good" he comments. I stumble a bit and gasp holding onto him tighter. "Hold my hands" he orders softly.

Holding onto him still I tightly run my hands down his arms finally getting his mitten covered hands on my hips.

Slowly and steadily he removes his hands from my waist and holds onto mine. I feel a huge space separate us just by that small movement.

I suck in my bottom lip between my teeth and look down at my feet. The picture gives me anxiety.

Without me knowing I push off and I didn't fall. I do it again and now I can do small push offs.

That night from 12pm to 1:30am I learned how to skate and it's all thanks to Justin.
