When I got home I threw my dress on my bed.
I looked in my closet for something to go with the dress. After I made my closet a disaster, I finally found something. I grabbed a laced black shirt, a lightweight black sweater, and my black not-to-fancy heals that had a teal bow on them.
After I finally got the outfit sorted out, I set it all on my bed and jumped in the shower. After I got out, I blow-dried my hair and curled it. I pulled it back in a ponytail when I was done because it made the curls stand out more.
Next, I put on my makeup. Not to little, but not to much.
I put on my outfit. When I was ready, I look at the clock on my phone.
"5:58. Just in time."
I went a head and looked at myself in the mirror one last time. This was the first time I thought I looked beautiful...
I just hope he feels the same way.
My phone buzzed.
It was a text from Jimmy.
"Meet me outside. I have something for you :)"
How much more could he possibly give me?
I walked outside my apartment to find a handsome man waiting outside of his car with a beautiful bouquet of red roses.
Very original, I know. But at this point, I could care less what type of flowers they were.
From my door, I could practically see his eyes about to pop out of his head.
Once I walked up to him, he grabbed my hand and twirled me around so he could see how I looked.
"Al, you look AMAZING!!"
"Thank you!" I said with the biggest grin on my face. I could feel me cheeks warm up from how happy I was. "You don't look so bad yourself!"
"Why, thank you."
He bowed.
"You ready?" James asked.
"Let's go!"
Just as I was about to open my door, he stopped me.
"Stop, let me get it for you."
He properly opens my door.
I giggled.
Once he got in the car I asked him, "So, where to?"
"You'll see." he looked over at me and smiled.
After about 15 minutes, we were in downtown Vancouver.
"So, are you going tell me now?"
"Just be patient Al, you will see. I promise."
We started driving up a hill where you could see all of downtown.
Once we got to a spot that wasn't quite on the top of the hill, he parked and jumped out of the car so he could open my door for me.
"Alright, close your eyes okay?" He said.
"Umm-- Alright," I said nervously.
"Just close your eyes and take my hand. I'll lead you to the spot." He took my hand and I closed my eyes.
I could feel that we were walking up what was left of the hill.
"Alright. Open!" He said while still holding my hand.
I open my eyes to see a blanket with a picnic basket and two candles by it. The spot over looked the lights of the city, plus the sun was just about to go down.
