Jimmy, Peter, and I made our way to his car. Jimmy played with Peter while I put his car seat in the back. I looked over to see Jimmy and Peter playing at the little park in my apartments. Peter was laughing and he looked so happy. Jimmy picked him up and held him up in the air. It was a picture perfect moment. Jimmy was so great with him. It just gave me another reason to love him even more.

"You guys ready?" I asked with the biggest smile on my face.

"Yeah let's go!" Jimmy replied.

Jimmy looked down at Peter.

"I'll race you!"

Peter looked up at him and laughed with his sweet little smile. Jimmy was "running" right beside Peter.

"Mama!"

"Oh no! Pete your gonna beat me!" Jimmy said.

I couldn't help but laugh. This was such a perfect moment.

Peter ran into my arms.

"Ahh man! You beat me! What am I going to do now!" Jimmy says with a big grin on his face. He tickled Peter and he laughed hysterically.

I put Peter in his seat then I got into the car.

"Hey I know where we could go!" Jimmy said.

"And where is that?"

"We could go do stuff in Portland, grab a bite to eat. Maybe we can come back here and tonight we can go to Zoo lights? If you guys are up for an adventure that is."

"Oh my gosh that would be perfect! I've been thinking about taking him there since he is a little older this year."

. . . .

After spending time roaming around Downtown Portland, we made our way back to my apartment.

As we were driving, James turned around to look at Peter.

He giggled.

"He is OUT."

I turn around.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't think he was that exhausted." I look at my watch. "Actually just kidding. I didn't realize what time it was. He usually takes a nap around 2 and its 3:30. No wonder."

Jimmy looked at me from the corner of his eye and bit his lip a little. He took his hand closest to me and grabbed my hand and kissed it. He continued holding it.

"He's beautiful by the way. He has your eyes. And your smile."

Oh my God, I love this man.

"Thank you. He is my rock. I love him so much. He is my world. I never knew that I could love something so much."

"I hope I'm lucky enough to bring something as precious as that little boy into the world someday." He glanced over at me, his cheeks were rosy read and he had the biggest grin from ear to ear.

"He adores you. I think you would be a great father. You are terrific with him."

I saw his eyes tear up a little bit.

"What's wrong? Is it something I said??" I asked worriedly.

"Yes." He kissed my hand again, but more patiently. He continued, "That means a lot to me Al."

We pulled into my apartments and parked right by my apartment.

He got out and opened my door for me. When I got out, I practically tackled him with a hug. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist and he spun in little circles. He gently set me down.
