A few weeks went by.

I had a doctors appointment today. I had been sick for a while now and i had no idea what was going on. Some kids at school have been sick so I thought it was just a bug, but soon there "bugs" went away and I still had it.

"Excuse me Dr. Paik? I've been meaning to ask you, kids in my school have been sick and so I've not been feeling well so I thought I maybe might have caught whatever they had, thinking that it would only have lasted a few days..."

"And how long have you been feeling like this?"

"A few weeks."

"Alright well let's run a few tests and we will see what's going on okay?"

. . . . . .

"I... What??"

"You're pregnant."

I was in shock. I didn't know weather or not I should be happy. I was feeling so many different emotions. I honestly had no idea what I was feeling.

"Are you sure?"

"Oh, I'm very positive. You are about...," he looked through his papers from the tests. "8 weeks pregnant. If you would like, we could get you an ultrasound. You could get a few pictures for you're family?"

"Uh-- sure. That sounds.. Great." I was in so much shock still that I didn't know what else to say.

"Alright I'll be right back."

He left the room.

How was I going to tell my family? How was I going to tell all of my close friends? Would I even tell them yet? More importantly, how was I going to tell Jimmy?

Besides my best friends I have known since elementary school and high school, I only knew one person to call for advice right now. I didn't want to tell them yet. I wanted it to be a huge surprise.

I got up off of the little bed that I was sitting on and I grabbed my phone.

I dialed his number and it was ringing.

"Hey what's up?" The voice said.

"Are you busy right now?"

"Uhh, no not really. Why what's up? Everything okay?"

I've known this man since my 8th grade year. I could count on him for anything. I told him everything. He has always had my back. He helped me get through some stuff through my 8th grade year and all of high school. He practically saved my life. In fact, Peter is named after him.

"Can you meet me at the Vancouver Clinic, the one right next to the hospital?"

"Yeah is everything all right?" He sounded worried, as if I was injured or something.

"Yes, everything is fine. But you're the first person I thought of to call."

"Alright I'm walking out the door now."

"Thanks, this means a lot."

"Yeah no problem. See you soon."

"Alright bye."

"Bye."

Within a few minutes he was there.

"Chan thank god you're here. I'm freaking out."

"What's going on?"

"Well I got some pretty big news just now... I'm pregnant."

"Oh my gosh! Alicia! That's fantastic! Does Jimmy know yet?"
