Once we got to the clinic we sat down in the waiting room. James saw me shaking a little bit because I was anxious and nervous to find out what we were having.
"Babe, it's okay! I'm anxious too. I have an idea for a name too, if it's a girl anyway."
"What is it?"
"Well I'm not going to tell you now, I'm telling you after we find out." He warped his arm around me and I leaned my head on him and closed my eyes. I took a deep breathe to get rid of the nerves.
A nurse walked through the door that lead to the offices.
"Alicia?"
"Right here." Jimmy helped me out of my seat and he intertwined his fingers in mine as we walked through the doorway.
After the nurse helped me with the "usual" stuff I do before my appointments, she took us to a room to wait for Dr. Paik.
"He should be here shortly. Just change into your gown and hang tight!" The nurse said with a smile as she closed the door.
As soon as she closed the door I got dressed in my gown. I could feel Jimmy's eyes watching me the whole time. I glanced over at him. He had that look in his eye. He tried to hide it, but he couldn't. He was slightly biting his lip. I didn't say a word, I just grinned.
I sat down after I got in my gown. Jimmy came over and sat down right next to me.
"What are ya doin'?" I asked with a laugh.
"Just sitting next to you... I'm nervous and you make me feel calm."
He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. I turned and gave him a kiss.
He started to kiss my neck. My weak spot.
"Jimmy..."
I felt him grin.
"Jimmy not here, the doctor will walk in any minute."
"They knock before they come in."
He started kissing my neck again. He laid me down on the bed and he kissed me harder than before.
He got me.
"Ahh screw it." I said.
I started unbuttoning his shirt when there was a knock at the door.
Jimmy shot up and straightened out his shirt and cleared his throat.
"Hold on a second! Still getting my gown on," I said.
"Alright no problem," Dr. Paik said through the door.
Jimmy looked at me confused.
"We can continue this later. But you need to look like you didn't just try and have sex with me in a doctors office." I said sarcastically. I buttoned up the buttons and helped him straighten out his shirt. "Now go sit over there like a good boy," I said as I laughed to myself.
"I'm going to get you when we get home."
I laughed. "Just go sit over there weirdo."
I laid down again. "Come in."
"Hello! How is everyone today?"
"Anxious! Thank you for asking." I smiled.
He turned to Jimmy and held out his hand. "Nice to see you again Mr. Fallon."
Jimmy shook his hand.
"Yeah nice to see you as well."
"Alright are we ready?"
"Yes!" Jimmy and I said at the same time. We all laughed.
"Alright."
He got the machine all ready.
"Alright. I'm sure you already know this but the gel will be cold at first."
"Yes I know."
Jimmy grabbed my hand.
"Okay let's see--"
We listened to the baby's heartbeat first.
"Alright, sounds good. Now let's see what we can call you now!"
After a few minutes of readjusting, we were finally at a good angle to see the baby.
"Well, it looks like you are having... A little girl! Congratulations!"
"Oh my God! Yes!" Jimmy came around to the other side of the bed and hugged me. He was practically jumping up and down in excitement.
"Can we have a picture of her?" Jimmy asked.
"Of course that won't be a problem. I'll be back."
Jimmy turned to me and kissed my hand.
"So the name I was thinking about, it's Adalynn Rose. I think it's super cute, I just thought of it one day so I've been praying it would be a girl."
"Oh my gosh, that's perfect!" I gave him a kiss.
He rubbed my belly. He has never looked so happy.
"Look at me," Jimmy said. "I wouldn't want to have a family with anyone else. This is beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you, so so much." He kissed my forehead.
Dr. Paik came back in.
"Okay, here are your pictures. Once again, congrats!"
"Thank you Doctor!" I said with excitement.
