you had just posted a new picture on instagram with your boyfriend, zach.

immediately thousands of likes and comments filled your notifications.

as you were looking through the comments, you noticed a lot of hate.

you were pretty much used to it by now. it's just what came with dating 'the zach herron'.

but you noticed a lot of the same thing being said.

"he deserves better"

as you saw that's most of what the comments had, it made you self conscious. it made you believe what they were saying was true.

you shut your phone off as you heard zach's voice throughout the house.

as he opened the door, he noticed your uneasiness.

"hey babe, you okay?" he questioned, walking closer to you.

"yeah... um- could we talk?" you said nervously.

"of course, what's up?"

you stood up, looking at him.

"i think it'd be best if we broke up, zach." you said, pain throughout your body.

his heart dropped.

"wh- what? why?" he asked, sadly.

"it's just they're right, you deserve better. you deserve someone better," you told him.

"y/n.. who's they? who's right?" he asks.

he was upset, angry and hurt that someone told the girl he loves that he deserves better than her.

"your fans," you said, your voice barely about a whisper.

"y/n. i love you. i'm in love with you. how could i deserve better when i already have the best their is. you make me so happy and no one else gets to decide what's best for me or what i deserve," he told you, wrapping his arms around you as he kissed your forehead.

"i'm sorry," you let out, tears falling.

"i love you, y/n."

"i love you more."
