            Camden

Yet again, I awoke, with a groan. It seems life always wants me to pass out.

First Alex, then dead bodies, then memories.

What did I do to deserve this?!

I shrug, and sit up, rubbing the crust from my eyes. "A hospital?" This doesn't look like the hospital Clyde and Lyra work at. A woman opened a door. "Hey sugar!" She smiled, her red outlined lips setting off her teeth. "I'm your nurse!"

"How did I get here?" "This man with red hair brought you in. He's downstairs in the cafeteria." I nodded. "Well, I'm heading out, but you're staying for a couple of days, sir. You've had some strange internal bleeding. We might need to remove your appendix." I gulped.

"Thank you, miss." She smiled and waved by, before being pushed. "Hey!" She squealed, as Alex walked in. He grabbed my hand. "Camden Silver." He growled. I sighed and swatted him away.

"Oh what, you're gonna storm in here like you didn't leave me in pain on my bed?" I rolled my eyes. "Do you have any idea how it feels, huh, Alex?" He crossed his arms over his chest. "Shut up Camden, I'm here to take you home." "Funny, I'm here to do the same thing." The redhead walked in, holding a bag. "Hey there, shortie, gotcha some food." He placed the bag on my lap. I looked at him questionly.

"I'm Crux, those are sandwiches from the deli across the street, and a bottle of the good stuff." He winked, and turned to Alex. "Now get out, ya sex fiend. I'm a relative." Crux pushed Alex out of the room, and helped the nurse back up. "I'm sorry about all of that, ma'am. That man is a psycho." I opened the bag of sandwiches while Crux relaxed on the couch next to me, smiling.

As I started eating the sandwiches, Crux started talking to me. "So, how much do you remember? Honestly, I've heard so much about you from the old man and now that I've met you-" He blushed, "Its kinda really cool. Its like a whole new world!" I smiled, swallowing the bite of sandwich. "Honestly, I don't remember much. I really only remember him in general. Nothing about him, just his face and name."

Crux sat back, and crossed his long legs. "I can't wait to get you out of this hospital. Master is going to be thrilled to have you back, I bet he's already preparing the cabin for you." I blushed and my lips curled into a smile as I took another bite of my sandwich. "It sucks you hafta be in here so long. But, I mean, I'll come by everyday, so it can't be that boring, huh?" He smirked.

Crux is a very fun guy, I'm tired of all the uptight rich people in my life.
