Camden
Mmm...I stirred in Alistair's hold, my eyes flickering open. I zeroed in the red LED numbers on the nightstand.
Five A.M? Curse my internal clock. I jiggled my hips, and groaned.
Scratch that, curse Alistair's dick.
My throat was hoarse, and I needed water, ASAP.
I decided to try the old maneuver, replacing my body with a pillow to keep Alistair asleep, but alas, he peeked an eye out.
"Where are you going, honey?" I winced. "Just to get some water, babe. I'll be back soon, I swear." He groaned, and rolled over, giving me puppy eyes.
"I miss you already." He pouted. I giggle.
"I'll be back soon, okay?" I questioned, shrugging on some boxers and Alistair's shirt.
He whistled. I gave him a side glance. "Round two when you come back? You look so hot in my shirt." I rolled my eyes. "Keep dreaming, big boy." I waved goodbye, descending the stairs.
I made it to the kitchen, turning on a light. I nearly screamed when I saw Crux at the table, surrounded in tissues.
"What happened?" I ask softly. He sighed."I love Lilith, but any one can see that?" He frowned, sadly.
"She's asexual, though." I nodded, taking a sip of water. He ran a hand through his hair.
"But I really feel like she's the only one I could love. She's...perfect. Smart, beautiful, sweet, funny, all the works. I just don't know what to do."
I laid my hand on his shoulder. "Listen," his eyes moved from the table. "She's not into you. You need to find someone else. Mind you, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Hell, you might even find someone different in the coven. Someone you've always known, but never really noticed them, you've been stuck to Lilith for so long, you need to explore much."
He took a second for processing, and nodded. "Thank you, love god." He hailed me. "Have a good time in the coven. Nice getup, by the way." He winked.
I waddled back upstairs, with my cold glass, and sat down on the bed. Alistair rolled over again.
"I missed you." He made grabby hands. I scooted and laid between his arms, my head on his chest.
"Did you get what you needed?" I nodded.
And I'm not the only one.
