The next day at the Shack, Quinn folded sweaters and shirts while Mabel worked the register and Dipper cleaned. Wendy played hooky for that day. While working, an unexpected visitor entered the gift shop. Pacifica Northwest, the snottiest and most popular girl in town.

"What are you doing here?" Mabel asked coldly. "I thought you hated us."

"With all of my rich heart," she replied. "Tomorrow's my stupid mothers birthday and I want to get her something to at least have her think I care."

Mabel sighed. "Do you care?"

"Absolutely not. She wouldn't buy me a zPhone 7. I'm only getting her something because Dad gave me five dollars to get her something."

Quinn couldn't help but say something to that. "Did you really just call your mom stupid?"

Pacifica turned to her and laughed. "Yes, and who are you?"

Quinn just gave her a dirty look. "I'm Quinn. And you honestly shouldn't be talking about your mom like that. It's very disrespectful."

"What do you know, Quinn?"

She shrugged. "Not a lot. I'm honestly a pretty unintelligent person. But I do know that your mother deserves much more respect than that and you're really being inconsiderate."

Dipper and Mabel couldn't believe she was actually talking back to her. Apparently neither could Pacifica. "Excuse me?!" She raged.

"Look, I'm sure it sucks finding out that your entire family's a sham and having the name Pacifica Northwest, I'd be bitter too. But your mother sacrificed so much to bring you into the world, and you're gonna complain over a stupid phone that could break after one drop. Seriously, you're pathetic." She took a mug from a shelf and threw it at her; she nearly dropped it. "Three dollars. There you go. Have a good day."

She stared at her for a few minutes, then threw the money on the desk and ran out of the building.

"Wow," Mabel said after a while. "You told her."

Quinn was all of a sudden embarrassed. "Sorry," she apologized, going back to folding the sweaters."I just don't see my mom a lot and it really makes me mad when people talk like that about their authority figures."

"No need to be sorry," Mabel said, smiling. "I think it was awesome."

Dipper nodded in agreement. "And I don't think you're unintelligent, either." He said slowly. She smiled at him and they continued working for another few hours.

                                      ..........................

After about a week, Quinn met about everyone. She and Wendy had a lot in common; they liked the same bands (Pierce the Veil and Nirvana FTW) and same video games. Soos enjoyed her company. Mabel thought she was hilarious (she really wasn't). Stan thought she was a decent worker. Everyone liked her. Especially Dipper.

I mean, when he first saw her in the woods that morning, he knew she was confused (makes sense now). But he honestly couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. Her voice was low and haunting and she seemed just so different. She wasn't loud and outgoing like Wendy; instead she was quiet and more reserved. It got so bad that he kept thinking about her at night, causing him to lose sleep.

He was too oblivious to his emotions. I mean, he just got over his crush on Wendy, there's absolutely no way he's fallen for someone already, right?

Unfortunately, his sister wasn't.

One day, Dipper walked in his bedroom and Quinn was sitting on his bed, reading the journal. She looked up at him and grinned. "Oh, hey Dip."

"Hello," he said, walking to the bed and sitting next to her. "So, um, what'cha doing?"

She continued to flip through the pages. "Trying to find something that could help me get back home."

"Oh," he said, looking with her. "So, how do you like Gravity Falls?"

She smiled. "Oh, I absolutely love it. It's so much different than the city, that's for sure." She scanned a page, then turned to the next. "But I guess I need to go back before Mom and Dad return."

He nodded. "Yeah, I guess."

They just sat there, reading the journal. They couldn't find something at that point of time. Quinn leaned back against the wall and sighed, discouraged. "Hey, Quinn. It's okay, we'll find a way to get you home." He said reassuringly.

She tightened her lips and blinked. "I don't know, Dipper. You guys have done awesome things, but I don't think we could find a way in time. I honestly don't even recall how I got here except for that stupid link Kellie sent me." She looked down and was quiet for a few seconds. "I hate myself."

"Aw, Quinn. Don't say that."

"It's true," she said, raising her voice slightly. "I'm so stupid to think that I could find something, I mean what do I know! I'm just a stupid, spoiled rich girl." She groaned and laid down on the bed.

He laid next to her. "You're not a stupid, spoiled rich girl. That's Pacifica. You're very intelligent, sweet, and determined. And I promise we'll find a way to get you home."

"Oh, Dipper. Don't make promises you can't keep."

"I promise we'll find a way to get you home," he repeated, determined.

"Pinky promise? I won't believe you until you pinky promise." She raised her pinky next to him.

He looked at her pinky and lifted his. "Pinky promise." and they linked them together.
