"Dude," Mabel said, walking down the stairs, which was covered by pitch darkness. "Where does this lead to?"

Quinn, a few steps behind her,  didn't know if to tell her. So, she lied. "I don't remember exactly. I don't remember watching anything else after that."

After a few minutes, they reached the last steps. "Is there a light down here?" Quinn asked, knowing the answer. She rubbed her hands against the wall, trying to find the switch. Suddenly, the room filled with a bright light and both of the girls fell down and grimaced because of the sudden adjustment.

When they looked up, they noticed that the light was blue. It confused both of them. "So Grunkle Stan knows about this?" Mabel asked. "What does he do down here?"

Quinn saw the desk with the picture of the twins on it and knew. She ran to it and opened the little compartment and pulled them out.

Book number one and Book number three. "Oh, my gosh." She heard Mabel say. "There's a number one?"

She nodded, looking at them. "I can't believe-" she turned and laid them flat by the keyboard. She opened them to the bookmarks and placed them right next to each other. It formed the triangle. Just like she remembered.

"Where's the journal?" She asked, keeping her eyes on the triangle.

"It's in our room." Mabel said, walking up behind her. "Woah, that's weird. Do you want me to get it?" She nodded and Mabel took off running up the stairs.

She got back a few minutes later and gave it to her. She put it on above all the others and saw it. It was the four little paths and the huge triangle in the center. She couldn't help but say out loud, "I knew it."

"Stop lying, Gideon!" Dipper demanded, staring into the little sociopath's diamond blue eyes.

"Oh, Dipper. I wish I was, but you just can't handle the truth."

The young twelve year old shook his head in disbelief, not believing the information he was told. "Uh, um, but-"

"Face it, Dipper," Gideon smiled, his evil thoughts quite evident. "The only reason you accomplished anything, the only reason you actually felt good about yourself for the first time in God-knows how long is because your UNCLE did it all first. He tried cleaning up his trail to keep you safe, knowing the consequences. But you had to be stubborn and reject that invitation. It's all gonna bite you in the neck soon, very soon."

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his chest and he held it. When he pulled it away, he noticed a decent amount of blood on his palm. "What the-?"

Gideon laughed. "It's starting."

"What- what's starting?"

"Someone is screwing around with the machine your uncle made. It has unimaginable powers, and it'll bring back all of what you brought down this summer."

Dipper suddenly fell backwards. He gasped in realization, and slowly got on his feet. "No, you can't be saying-"

Gideon nodded. "Yep."

Dipper began panting. No, he thought. This can't be happening. Oh, dear God, no. He struggled to open the door and ran out into the hallway, out of the building. I have to warn the others.
