I woke up when I heard a crash coming from outside the door. My shoulder and leg still hurt, but getting better. A bruise had formed on my shoulder. "Good Morning," I heard a muffled voice say. I heard a few bones cracking and then a scream. I shrunk more into the corner.
My vision was a bit blurred from the light in the room. I heard footsteps fading away out of the hallway. I crawled to the middle of the floor and sat down and crossed my legs. "Doctor, when are you coming?!" I screamed after making sure no one was in the hallway. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Damn," I heard a muffled voice say. I opened my eyes to find the door opening. I saw a...man? "What are you...who are you..." I trailed off. "Shh," he whispered. He helped me up and we walked out of the room. "What's your name?" I asked walking quickly, but quietly.
"Matt. Yours?" "Anna." He nodded. I thought I heard a snarl coming from behind us so I turned around for a second and....saw it. The Bean Nighe. It was staring at me, grinning. Blood was dripping from it's chin spilling into a pool onto the ground. The way it was looking at me sent a chill down my spine.
"You're breaking....you'll be mine soon....." it said coldly. For a moment it seemed like it was only the two of us, standing it a blackened room. "Anna!" I heard a familiar voice say. I blinked and found myself back in the hallway. I turned around to find the Doctor wrapping his arms around me, pulling me into a huge hug. He pulled away after finding I wasn't hugging back. I gave a faint smile, but I was really terrified.
"Okay, let's go!!" he said. For a moment, a look of sadness appeared on his face, but went away as soon as he saw that I noticed. He grabbed my hand and the five of us ran out of the hallway. "There's no Krillitanes, I'm pretty sure they all went out looking for me since I hadn't found you sooner than they hoped," the Doctor told me, peering around the corner.
I looked over to Matt, who pulled off his jacket and slipped it over my shoulders. The Doctor stopped and turned around. "Who are you?" he asked nicely. "I'm Matt. How I got here....I don't know," Matt answered. The Doctor nodded and turned back around to walk out of the front. We were about halfway into the woods, and all was silent.
No one had said a word and I didn't know why. The Doctor didn't notice the bruise that had formed on my arm when he first saw me and I wasn't planing on telling him about it. I didn't want him to worry. I saw the TARDIS and we ran towards it.....all of us except for Matt.
"Matt...come on!" I said running back to him. "But it's a box." "Yes, now come on!" I pulled him to it. The others were already inside and I pushed open the doors to find the Doctor already up to the console. "Hello! Anna, get dressed and we should be off! Oh, and what caused that bruise on your leg?" he asked concerned.
"Oh, I got that a while back. It's nothing," I lied. It wasn't nothing. It was something, it pained me and I could barely walk on it. The thing is, it wasn't caused by the fall. It was something else. Could they have done something to me? What if they purposely left just so the Doctor would find me?
These thoughts followed me all the way to my bedroom and back. My shoulder was still hurting but getting better. "Alright then, Matt where do you live?" the Doctor asked. Matt told him the address, he didn't seem like he was from Texas but that's Americans for you. We dropped off Matt and as soon as the doors closed behind him, the Doctor turned to me.
"Anna are you okay? You seem a bit off," he said, walking around the console pushing and pulling things but he never took his eyes off of me. "I'm fine. Just a bit of a scare with the aliens and all," I answered giving a fake smile.
The Doctor knew something was up but he just left it alone. "Amy, Rory, um, could you go get a glass of water for Anna please?" he asked giving them a "and don't come back for a bit" look. They took the hint and left the room. The Doctor turned to me.
"Anna, did something happen? Did they do something to you?" he questioned. "No..." He raised his eyebrows. He knew I was lying. "Are you sure?" "Yes. If they did, I would've told you," I answered. I walked to the other side of the platform with him following.
"Um, I saw it," I said after awhile. "It?" he asked. "The thing we encountered in Mackville." He walked up to me, inches away from my face. "What did say? What did do? Anna, are you okay?!" he asked quickly but concerned.
"Uh, it told me that I was breaking. That I was going to be theirs soon. Doctor, what is it talking about?" I inquired. He backed away, falling into the chair behind him and he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I don't know. What I don't understand is why it wants you. I mean, sure you're the daughter of the most important woman in the Universe but why does it want you?" he said. I grinned on the inside, like he didn't know what he just said.
"Neither do I but we'll find out, won't we?" I told him. He nodded. He stood up and turned away from me. "Well, let's go somewhere where you can relax, get off of that leg. It looks like it's killing you," he told me.
He noticed. He turned around and smiled at me. "So, where to?"
