// Yui's point of view

It becomes visibly clear that my body is shaking in fear. What's in front of us is a demoness who had a hundred millenniums, with a curse that she uses as a power. She's a wildfire that turns everything into ashes. Yukio and I are injured.  We were just a few steps to safety. But the door is shattered the second we turn our back on it. What will we do now?

"I must thank your kin for it, If it wasn't for her, invading Samael's lair will be such a chore," Lilith spoke as she walked around. She's still a few steps away from us. I looked around the shelves and the open cabinets for things that might help us. I have to do something. I need to think.

"I wouldn't be surprised about it, families betraying families, angels becoming demons, people turning to demons for help. No matter how much this world turns, it has never changed and will never be." I can't be bothered to listen to her exposition, I have to get us out of here. I need to toughen myself, no time to fear.

Yukio grabbed my hand, he must've noticed that I'm looking around. He gave me a nod.

"But, I must ask," Lilith said as she took a few steps toward us.

"How did Sana die?" Lilith asked as she stared at Yukio. "Why do you need to ask?" Yukio asked.

"She was an excelled combat-wise warrior. It was a shame when I learned that she passed away-" Lilith was put to a stop when Yukio answered immediately.

"I'll ask a different question, Why do you need to ask it when you should know the answer to it?" Yukio asked. I think I have a clue as to who Sana is. She might be Bou's mother, the previous descendant.

"Would I be asking the question if I already knew the answer?" Lilith asked in annoyance.

"The army of demons that night, it was instructed by Satan to attack the city, was it not?" Yukio said as he took a tight grip on my hand.

Yukio is... stalling time for me. To look for a way out.

"They were never enough to overthrow an awakened descendant. Her power that night could have surpassed Gehennah and become the strongest of us all. But it was put to a halt. So I ask again, how did she die?" Lilith asked as her veins became visibly larger than usual.

"Those demons made her overuse her powers. That's why the exorcists put an end to her suffering." Yukio said.

"Your kind... put an end to her suffering. I guess that's the only answer you can give me." Lilith repeated Yukio's answers.

In this limited time, I have found nearby items that I can use and combine in an attempt to cause a distraction and run. I just need to grab them and use them at the right time.

"What an awful reason, isn't it? You actually believed in it?" Yukio was grabbed by his collar and slammed to the ground. Lilith took a solid minute to stare at Yukio's teal eyes as she pinned him down with her heel.
