// Yukio's point of view:
I'm Okumura Yukio, sixteen years old, I'm currently attending the True Cross Academy. I have an older brother, Okumura Rin and I'm in charge of protecting him.
When I was six years old, I spend my time on my studies and duties, so that I could be a great exorcist. How was life back then? I always feel numb. I let my father make decisions about my future. He said, I needed to protect my brother, and that I have a big responsibility. I hated it when my father puts pressure on me. I'm always jealous of how Rin could have a great childhood, while I'm always stuck to study so that I could protect him.
Well, the pressure didn't last long, I met someone, who was also born unfortunate, with powers she was told she can't control. Yet she still smiles, and I could tell she was not faking it. She made my heart calm and my mind was at ease. She would tell Shiro that I wasn't enjoying life like any normal kid and that made my father think twice about my training. He made everything easier and more playful. Father would feel sorry for what he did. I had my good moments in my childhood and that was because of her, she made everything easier.
But, we got separated, two years ago, and she went to the States.
I hope you're doing fine. I'll be here waiting.
Present time: True Cross Academy; Gate Entrance.
We were assigned to defeat twelve feet unnamed demons. I told Nii-san to step aside because it was too dangerous.
But, he was too stubborn that he went near my position, "Nii-san what are doing here?!" I shouted as I grabbed his collar.
"I'm here to help!" He said with an angry face.
"You don't have to fight nii-san! Let the other knights do the job!" I shouted, wondering if that will make him stop, but knowing Nii-san. He wants to fight demons back. But he doesn't understand the situation.
Nii-san escaped my grip and drew his sword.
"But, I'm the only one who can defeat that thing!!" He jumped up at the monster, attempting to slay the demon himself.
Nii-san was so overconfident, he faced the demon by himself. I tried to stop him, but it was too late.
I gazed at the monster's arm going towards nii-san, I tried to shoot it, hoping it will flinch. But it didn't, the monster was just too strong. The monster got nii-san. Nii-san screamed in pain as the monster took a tight grip on him.
"Nii-san!" I need to save him.
I have to do something...
I don't want that to happen again...
She...
She needed to be saved.
The demon got weak because of the gas grenades and in its final moments, it threw nii-san away.
Nii-san was unconscious and the demon disappeared right before our eyes.
Since the mission failed, we were both sent to our dorms.
